The casual fan doesn't remember that eversince shaq got fat in the 02-03 season the lakers lost a step which is why the lost to the spurs in 03 playoffs. They signed Karl Malone to be able to matchup well against the big powerforwards of the west like Duncan and KG and it worked but then Malone missed the finals and shaq was overweight and was swallowed by the two headed wallace monster. The pistons should put 2 asterisks next to 2 out of 3 of there championships because they only got them due to serious injuries for the lakers (I know mojo is not gonna like this! )
we are not talking one game injury like perk in last year game 7 (a guy who is not even a star). We are talking injuries to Malone and kareem abduljabbar the top two alltime in NBA scoring history!

anyways, Kobe wasn't the reason the lakers lost in 04. Shaq was getting killed one on one and Kobe was being double teamed and tayshaun's long wing span was really bothering him. as a matter of fact if Kobe hadn't hit that 3 they wouldn't have even won 1 game in the series! I was just listening to this video and the announcer guy said: and everyone is looking at Kobe Bryant (before inbounding the ball) and then he said I can only think of one more guy: Michael Jordan. The funny thing is I was thinking that guy sounds familiar then I realized its doc rivers!

I like the sequence where barnes (a bruin) fouled Ariza (a bruin) while Reggie Miller (a bruin) was broadcasting a game where yours truly ( a bruin) was watching the game!!----1990 TM, You will always have a special place in our hearts

I find it hilarious that Pau is commonly looked at as one of the reasons why L.A. is so formidable and invincible, but in this series he has been a weakness and liability more than anything else."A craftsman pulled a reed from the reedbed, cut holes in it, and called it a human being.
