Lakers will not lose to the Hornets, but they will not win the Championships this year. They are too inconsistent and too liable to lose games they have no business losing and that will add up at the end.

Edit: On a sidenote, the Grizzlies are not ****ing around.

I would say that Memphis is doing this BECAUSE they don't have Gay. Gay was a chucker who took possessions away from the real chips on that team, and that's Z-Bo and Gasol. Add in a guy like Battier who offers you solid defense instead of volume shooting, and you have a well-rounded team that is ready to take down the San Antonio Spurs like we have seen.

Once the Lakers are actually focused and taking the opponent seriously, trust me, they will 3-peat

true dat. Look out next year tho because i think rudy realizes this and when he comes back he'll try to fit in more.

              Marc
              Randolph
              Gay
              Allen
              Conley

              Battier
              Arthur (what a game today)
              OJ (watta series)

Thats one hell of a top 8.

The Grizzlies are so young and so competent at the same time. Having Gay, Randolph and Gasol might be the most underrated "big three" (and unpopular), but I think there are a lot of teams out there that would be jealous of that core.

Edit: Let me add that, as a Rockets fan, it upsets me greatly to see Gay and Battier end up on the same team... and also to see that very team make it to the playoffs while my Rockets are in rebuilding phase.
