Every Bulls fan knows that Sxottie was a great player, but not the brightest bulb by any means. The guy is known for making dumb judgements and decisions all the time (1994 playoffs with Kukoc). He is flat broke right now, which is why he came with hat in hand to Jerry Reinsdorf who gave him a BS job to help him pay the bills. I bet you Scottie is pretty pissed at MJ for not coming to his aid during the tough times he's had, and this is his way of showing it. In fact I know it, since back in March when they did the whole 20th year anniversary of the 91' championship team, Scottie made a point of saying that him and Michael aren't that close, and that they never talk anymore. Scottie always had a way of getting subtle messages across via the media when he was pissed at someone. Before it was mainly against Jerry Krause. And he knows that nothing piss off MJ more than what he just did.

Anyhow I don't need Scottie Pippen to tell me how good MJ was. Luckily there is a thing called video tape. Moreover Babak with his LJ is the best defender in the game today tripe is making me laugh uncontrollably. Guarding one player on a team with 5 players doesn't make Lebron a great defender. Rose took himself out of the game far too many times by settling for BS jumpers. That had nothing to do with LJ and his divine defense. There isn't a single defender in the league fast enough to stay with Rose one on one, but any one player can be stopped if you defend him with 3+ defenders at 3 levels. The Bulls lost cause Rose settled too often and Noah and Boozer were hot garbage at running 4 on 3 sets when Rose got trapped 35 feet from the bucket, which was at least 2 dozen times each game. Something by the way that no other team could possibly do against another team in the final four of the playoffs, because that strategy would get them burned repeatedly. The Heat did to the Bulls and Rose's teammates inexplicably played like shit, even when no one was guarding them. And don't get me started on the horrendously one sided officiating in Games 3, 4 and 5. Rose couldn't buy a call more often than not even though he would get hammered, but he doesn't whine like a ***** like most stars do, so it goes unnoticed. The Bulls will be back though.

    Oh and:

Yeah we were all witnesses alright...

Guys keep me out of this! and Babak, I am not hiding but I am staying away. I am busy and the lakers are out whats the point? I didnt even watch a single laker game in its entirety this off season but I watched Lebron last night and here is what I have to say. Persianbruin's dime:

      1) I posted this back in 2/13 on the lebron thread and last night he took it to another level

Originally posted by persianbruin View Post

To me he was the equivalent of shaq: pure power and dominance and an athlete far beyond everyone else. To me shaq was never and still isn't a true bball player. It was just a gifted athlete who was unstoppable due to his amazing power and speed. Felt the same way about Lebron up till now but he is gaining some "skills". It would be too scary if he keeps developing
      2) Scottie must be high as a motherfucckin kite cuz there is noway Lebron is anywhere as good as MJ .....yet... and if I have to place a bet my money is on MJ but I am not gonna say Lebron will never get there. If he keeps this up it "can" happen.

      3) The scottie thing was more of a diss to Kobe than MJ. Scottie is one of the greatest ever and a champion but Anyone who has followed scottie and kobe through the years knows that although MJ owned Kobe in his early days and the bulls crushed the lakers during the same years, Kobe punked scottie many times during his first 3 years in the league and made him look really bad at times. scottie hates him and always uses the chance to shoot one at Kobe. By comparring Lebron to MJ he is saying (without saying) that Lebron has surpassed Kobe and I am gonna have to say PUHHHLEAZE!! While RIGHT NOW Lebron is clearly better than Kobe, MUCH better than Kobe, Kobe is was far more skilled than lebron but he just doesn't have the stamina and physical dominance anymore. He needs a good backup (ehheem sasha V ) so he could be fresh and dominate the 4th. Overall in terms of Kobe's peak and Lebron's peak, Kobe reached a higher ceiling.

      4) scottie must have Iranian blood cuz he is as grateful as Iranians are.

      5) As good as the heat are they just beat a very inexperienced and young bulls team. They shouldnt have even been trailing these games to begin with. Think about it: When Wade won his championship, Joakim Noah was winning his first college championship at Florida. When Lebron went to the finals in 07, Noah had just won his second college championship and Derek rose was a senior in High school!!!

      6) D rose is the real deal. I was so so so impressed with him. The trio in miami have started a new trend. I dont buy that boston was an inspiration. Those guys were all in the downside of their careers. This new trend will be followed in other cities and once players like rose and durant get monster teammates, watch out!

      7) Pau is shyt, odom is shyt and bynum is limited. Kobe used to bail their asses (except for game 7 last year) but he is getting too old now. Been saying this but ver iz goosheh shenava! The lakers need howard or some other primary scorer. Kobe will be in his 16th year while he has played playoff games that equal to 2.5 NBA seasons. He has played half a season worth of NBA finals games only. He cant do it anymore. They need someone. a hall of famer not a pau

      8) Can someone tell me what the fk is going on with dirk??? have aliens got into his brain?? The guy is unstoppable. He has enough experience and talent around him this time. Watch out Miami.

      9) I went to Mission Burrito couple more times but I didnt see shane battier...weird.

      10) Mike brown?? really? we're dead! Jim buss is gonna become the most hated professinal franchise owner since Art Modell.

Busy as hell, I am out

Kareem's open letter to Pippen regarding Scottie's recent claim.

How Soon They Forget: An Open Letter to Scottie Pippen

            Dear Scottie,

I have nothing but respect for you my friend as an athlete and knowledgeable basketball mind. But you are way off in your assessment of who is the greatest player of all time and the greatest scorer of all time. Your comments are off because of your limited perspective. You obviously never saw Wilt Chamberlain play who undoubtedly was the greatest scorer this game has ever known. When did MJ ever average 50.4 points per game plus 25.7 rebounds? (Wilt in the 1962 season when blocked shot statistics were not kept). We will never accurately know how many shots Wilt blocked. Oh, by the way in 1967 and 68, Wilt was a league leader in assists. Did MJ ever score 100 points in a game? How many times did MJ score more than 60 points in a game? MJ led the league in scoring in consecutive seasons for 10 years but he did this in an NBA that eventually expanded into 30 teams vs. when Wilt played and there were only 8 teams.

Every team had the opportunity to amass a solid nucleus. Only the cream of the basketball world got to play then. So MJ has to be appraised in perspective. His incredible athletic ability, charisma and leadership on the court helped to make basketball popular around the world -- no question about that. But in terms of greatness, MJ has to take a backseat to The Stilt.

In terms of winning, Michael excelled as both an emotional and scoring leader but Bill Russell’s Celtics won eight consecutive NBA Championships. Bill's rebounding average per game is over 22.5 lifetime, MJs best rebounding years was eight per game (1989). But we will never know exactly how many shots Bill Russell blocked because again, they never kept that statistic while he played. However, if you ask anybody that played against Russell, they will just roll their eyes and say he blocked all the shots he wanted to block in the crucial moments of a game.

Bill played on a total of 11 championship teams and as you very well know, Scottie, the ring is the thing, and everything else is just statistics. So I would advise you to do a little homework before crowning Michael or LeBron with the title of best ever. As dominant as he is, LeBron has yet to win a championship. I must say that it looks like Miami has finally put the team together that will change that circumstance. Its my hope that today’s players get a better perspective on exactly what has been done in this league in the days of yore.

            Affectionately,
            Kareem Abdul-Jabbar,
            NBA’s All-Time Leading Scorer

what a comeback by dallas and dirk, that defense they did end of the game was perfect. But its gonna be super hard to win 3 in a row....even if its at home.
