lmao what a joke! seriously i dont understand why they vote for player of the year in JANUARY! Bale has done nothing for the last few months, and young player of the year should of definitely gone to Hernandez, although it was obvious it would go to Whilshere coz he's english but Hernandez, the guy came out of nowhere and saved our arse so many time this season. He's not even in the team of the year.

It's funny how Van der vaart,Parker and Adam who were shortlisted for the award are not in the team of the year, while players like Nani and Berbatov were in team of year, but not even shortlisted for award.

It don't make sense. Bale had 7 goals and 1 assists in the EPL, while Nani has 9 goals and 18 assists.. yet Nani was not even shortlisted for the award.

It was a joke that Bale won it, he was good in europe mostly.. but in EPL, missed alot of games due to injury, and was only impressive in 3 or 4 EPL games.

and the thing is that home inter game was over after 30 min. cuz inter whooped them 4-0 so bale really just made 2 goals in 90th min.

you answered your own question, the player of the year judges the players from one january to the next. Hernandez was non existent in england for most of the year (jan 10 to august10) so how on earth could he be mentioned.
