Iran's no 1 badminton player, Kaveh Mehrabi, who was the first Iranian player and first west asian to qualify for the Olympics (in Beijing) is here in Fiji playing in the Fiji Open. This is to acummulate points to qualify for the London Olympics.
He has a very busy schedule infornt of him for the coming year where he will play in numerous tournaments to make sure he is ranked in the top 38 players in the world to make the cut for London.
I have had the pleasure of spending some time with him in Suva and he is a true gentlemen with high dedicaiton to his sport. It great to be able to cheer a hamvatan here in Fiji and raise the call of dodorodo IRAN (even if i am the only one and everyone thinks i am crazy

This morning he won the quaterfinals against an Australian player and will play another australian in the semins in 2 hrs. He will probably play an Italian in the finals tomorrow morning. If you have any message i will pass it to him.
