Qatar may be stripped of World Cup, says Blatter

Not really news, most of us realized that shotor 2022 would never happen and the host would be changed.

He's only doing that because he's pissed Bin Hammam (Qatar) is running against him.
Everyone knows every world Cup has been bought with bribes. Especially since 98.

I'm not so sure that's the reason. There were already allegations even before Bin Hammam's candidacy.

        all tallk and tallk..
but no actions will be done.

        FIFA = a joke.

I advice you all to read a book called FOUL! written by Andrew Jennings.. this book exposes FIFA and explains everything that goes on there.

its a shame to see a wonderful sport being corrupted by stupid people.

FIFA is a joke but I think this time it's gonna be different as federations are threatening to leave FIFA all together. I would have thought the worst would have been to boycott shotor 2022.

FIFA is corrupted to its core, but like everyone they are slaves to money. When it becomes plain that no fan or team is willing to spend a month in friggin middle east DURING THE SUMMER, FIFA will have no choice but to give it to another country who has hosted the WC successfully before i.e. Germany, Japan, US.

In the end nothing will happen.
Hammam will not want to risk losing the world cup for Qatar because of his own political ambitions, considering he can just become president 4 years from now, basically running unopposed.
Bin Hammam will end his candidacy, the investigation will be forgotten and Qatar will host it.
Having said all that, if Qatar does lose it, please give the world cup to USA.

Blatter hints 2006 World Cup hosting rights were bought
The Fifa president has explained how Germany were awarded the tournament after unusual events, and revealed how someone attempted to bribe him in 1986
Fifa president Sepp Blatter has hinted that the 2006 World Cup was possibly awarded to Germany because of corruption.

The 76-year-old has revealed that one of the members with the right to vote inexplicably left the room during the election, and feels that he was perhaps too naive not to think anything of it at the time.
"World Cups that were bought... I'm thinking about how the 2006 World Cup was awarded, when someone all of a sudden left the room at the last moment. Instead of a 10-10 tie, it was now 10-9 in favour of Germany's bid during the vote," Blatter stated in an interview to Blick.

"I was pleased that I didn't have to give the decisive vote. But, well, someone just got up all of a sudden and left the room. Perhaps I was a bit too naive on that occasion. I'm not implying anything. I'm just saying what happened."

The German football association (DFB) has reacted angrily to Blatter's comments, and have dismissed them as an attempt to distract from the recent bribery scandal involving former Fifa president Joao Havelange.

"These nebulous remarks are completely unfounded and only seem to serve the goal of creating a distraction from the current affairs and events within Fifa," DFB secretary general Helmut Sandrock stated.

Blatter also revealed that an unnamed football association president attempted to bribe him in 1986.

"There has been an attempt to bribe me. When I was still secretary-general, the president of a country's FA approached me. It was ahead of a play-off game ahead of the 1986 World Cup. It happened here at the Fifa headquarters.

"He came up to me and stated 'it would be good if the referee would be in our favour' before shoving an envelope in my pocket-coat. There was $50,000 in there, which I gave to our accountant.

"We opened a bank account in his name, and told him about it. He withdrew the money again shortly after, and nobody's since tried to bribe me again."

I think the United States should host 2022.

If Qatar actually does host it in 2022, we are going to be on everyone's ass to make sure they call the Persian Gulf by its correct name.

Then I think we need to re-enlist the Persian cyber army in time for 2022 Qatar

Damn I would love for Iran to end up in Qatar's group, score on them, and have our players pull a Persian Gulf tee from under their jersey. Talk about pwnage
