If Queiroz can achieve half of what Ivankovic did, then I'll be satisfied.
in your opinion will asia's final grouping be something like that this time around?

I know Al-Ittfiaq pretty well since two of their last coaches in the past 4 years have been romanians.
The first one (Ioan Andone) actually eliminated Sepahan in the group-stages of the Asian Champions League, while the second one (Ion Marin) helped qualified the team for next season's Asian Champions League.
Al-Ittifaq is a very small club in Saudi Arabia, one of those which doesn't have a BIG WEALTHY Prince behind it.
Instead, they have a board of directors and get their VERY SMALL BUDGET (4-5 million dollars per year) from local authorities, etc.
Al-Ittifaq, in terms of money, is poorer than many iranian clubs.
But, they have decent facilities, training grounds, recovery center.
At the end of the day though, its impossible for them to challenge the likes of Al-Ittihad (they will win the Saudi league in the coming season) and Al-Hilal who have virtually unlimited budgets.

Thats the problem.
You THINK many others will be able to pull off what Ivankovic pulled off.
You know whats MY PROBLEM?
Despite many people like yourself claiming others could have, would have pulled off what Ivankovic pulled off, in reality, no one has pulled anything off since 2006 til now.
All we have actually pulled off is minimizing Ivankovic's achievments.
Of course, its always easy to be all talk and no action.
Thats what all 3rd world countries are good at...
