Aspire Sporting Academy in Qatar shaping a nations future

Watch this vid; you never know in the future they will be playing against Iran im jealous of the facilities but not of what they are doing

note also their footballing u17 outclassed man utd u17 5-1 in the final of the milk cup ill post highlights later

if the 5-1 win over man utd is ture, then they sure as hell have come a long way in 2 years

their u17 team 2 years ago was a complete joke....my close friend plays for new york red bulls youth academy (u17 red bulls) and qatar's u17 only managed to beat them 1-0.
    Team Meli Iran
    Perspolis FC

that's exactly the attitude that we've had for many years and hence sucking more and more in this game

even if they don't succeed in changing the footballing landscape in Qatar significantly, at least they're investing the money into something positive! Not on meaningless state sponsored rallies or bombs and bullets around the world...

Aspire academy is used to bring talents from all over the world to Qatar and many of them are then naturalized. This is a huge source of future national team players for them.

well a country with a small population and high natural resources can find more money for leisure activities.

but its something we should have as well i admit.

Why invest in football and other sports when we are fighting the West?

People are still blind in their ultra-nationalism of Iran. IR has built no logical footballing system in our country. These people will use their resources - in a smart fashion - and will leapfrog us. Why are we so blind to the reality? All in the name of having "pride." I want Iran to be number 1, but with our current system and infrastructure, Maldives is even closing the gap on us! We are WAY behind S. Korea, Japan and Australia. Don't you guys see what is happening in front of our eyes?

Blind nationalism and creating our "own reality" will not change reality. Let's be honest and real.
