had a lil nap. just woke up. it's 23-15 to iran in the 4thmin of 2nd quarter

i was impressed with iran today. they getting back to their normal playing style with a good flow.
haddadi was definetely the MVP. i lost count of how many rebounds and blocks he made but he got 19 pts.
better D today. sahakian was very solid on both ends. rebounding well on both sides as a team.
good results against the hosts. this should motivate iran to beat jordan tomorrow to ensure they're in top four to make the semis.

They got their job done defensively.Needed a few games to get together in defense and now it seems it's clicking somehow.Still offense needs a lot work to do.Haddadi was somehow doing some "maskhare bazi" at times!

The Jordan game is pretty crucial.Hope we win with a good performance.

And Kamrani's injury isn't serious.He needed the rest and he got it!!

Iran plays Jordan tomorrow.
This same Taiwan team beat Jordan 77-75. Iran smashed Taiwan today. Hopefully that's a good sign that Iran is improving and will beat Jordan as well tomorrow.

Well the Jordan-Taiwan game was decided by poor officiating in Taiwan's favor(i mean really poor!). Jordan is a better team for sure in comparison to Taiwan. But the thing is that we always play better games against west asian teams.

And for smashing Taiwan i think coach Matic wanted to break them down mentally before the game we have in the Asian Championship(we are grouped with Taiwan). Still Kamrani played for 17 mins and Haddadi for 29.We had a good rotation beside having a good result today.

This cup has been very close thus far. top 4 make semis.

Iran needs to beat Jordan in order to make it! Jordan needs to beat Iran to make it.
Only other way Iran with losing can make it is if Korea beats Chinese Taipei and in that case Iran would have a better Head to Head over Chinese Taipei.

Ok lets see what goes on if these kind of results happen tomorrow:

1) Iran beats Jordan,Iran will be among the top 4 teams no matter what happens in other games.

2) Iran losses the game to Jordan:

A) If CT and Philippines both lose their games 4 teams will have a 4-3 record,Phil having 2 wins,Iran having 2,Japan and CT with 1.Thus Iran and Philippines will be in the top 4 and will appear in the semi final games.

B) If CT wins and Philippines loses,then Iran,Philippines and Japan will be tied with a 4-3 record all having 1 win and 1 loss(in a 3 way head to head).This will send the 3 teams into goal average in head to head games(Iran has a 1.038 GA and that will be enough to see them through if Japan doesn't win by more than 23).

C) If CT losses and Philippines win their game,Then Iran will be tied with CT with a 4-3 record and with todays win Iran will be through on a head to head comparison against CT.

D) If both CT and Philippines win their games then Iran won't advance to the semis.


As Iran's game will be the first game among these 3 games,we can not risk to take the game easy and look for other teams to get the work done.
We control our own destiny.

i started the game late. did kamrani play at all? injury?

wow guys what a close game. great ending there.
iran were down 6 points in the last 1:30min. in the 25sec it became 65-65. 67-66 jordan 14secs to go. veisi scores 2 to make it 68-67 with 8secs to go!! jordan fail to make the basket. HADDADI gets the rebound and iran wins!

iran make it to the semis. what a way to win especially with kamrani out injured and without afagh and bahrami as well. great team performance
