The 2011 World Wrestling Championships starts tomorrow, so I made this thread about to keep everyone updated, hopefully we win a few medals.

The 2011 FILA Wrestling World Championships will be held at the Sinan Erdem Dome in Istanbul, Turkey. The event will take place between September 12 to
September 18, 2011.

Well the draw went horribly bad for us.

In 55Kg and 96 Kg our wrestlers are drawn with Israel's wrestlers and therefore they are automatically out due to the stupid thing we have in our sport to not compete in any game where an Israeli is there.

WTF, are you serious ?? In which category Freestyle or Greco ? 55 kg in Greco Roman we have Hamid Sourian who is probably the favourite to win the whole thing.

Since when does Israel beat anyone in Wrestling aswell ? They should of just let them compete, damn what a load of shit.

Well it's in Greco Roman.

In 55Kg Sourian isn't with the team this year and a guy named Hajipour was representing Iran. This draw is somehow fishy as Iran got its only golds last year in the WC in 55 and 96 Kg's.

Anyway I say if the 2 guys on our team don't wrestle tomorrow, I think it would be better off just to disqualify our whole Greco team to teach those IR bastards to keep politics out of sports.

سعيد عبدولي به فينال مسابقات كشتي فرنگي قهرماني جهان رسيد.

به گزارش ايسنا، در مرحله نيمه نهايي وزن 66 كيلوگرم كشتي فرنگي قهرماني جهان در استانبول، سعيد عبدولي موفق شد كيم هيون وو قهرمان سال 2010 آسيا از كره جنوبي را در سه تايم شكست دهد و به فينال مسابقات جهاني برسد.

در وقت اول اين كشتي امتيازي رد و بدل نشد و با توجه به اين كه كشتي*گير كره اي مجري فن بود، عبدولي يك برصفر برنده شد. در تايم دوم، عبدولي در كلينچ سه امتياز از دست داد تا كار به وقت سوم بكشد.

در تايم نهايي، دو كشتي*گير مبارزه نزديكي به نمايش گذاشتند و كار به خاك كشيد. كشتي*گير كره اي چون در تايم دوم سه امتياز گرفته بود، انتخاب كرد كه مجري فن باشد. وقتي كشتي*گير كره اي در امتياز گرفتن نا موفق بود، داور وسط به ناحق درخواست پوئن اخطار به نفع كشتي*گير كره*اي كرد كه رئيس تشك موافقت نكرد و وقت سوم يك بر صفر به سود عبدولي به پايان رسيد تا اين جوان خوزستاني اولين مدال آور ايران در مسابقات جهاني باشد.

In the 55KG Greco Roman category our wrestler Mohsen Hossein Hajipour lost to a Moldovan in the 1st round.

He won the first period 3-0 but lost the last two 0-1 and 0-3, I'm not sure if he actually tried to win knowing that, even if he beat this Moldovan guy he would be out of the tournament anyway because he had to face an Israeli next round..


In 66KG Greco Roman, Saeid Morad Abdvali has made it to the final !!

He beat his Polish opponent 1-0, 1-0, 0-0 in his first match, won against a German 1-0, 1-0, 0-0 in his second, beat a Kazakh 2-1, 1-0, 0-0 in his third and beat a Korean 2-0, 0-3, 1-0 in the Semi Final and he will now face a Georgian in the Final for Gold.

I don't know when the match will start but well done to him for making it this far, with all the sh*t that's probably going on in the team right now.


In 96KG Greco Roman, Rezaei (Can't find first name) has been disqualified in the 1st round for failing to compete with an Israeli.

Why don't we compete against these idiots. Most of these Israeli athletes are pretty bad, and we let our talented athletes miss out on crushing them because of stupidity.
Wouldn't IR be happier showing the world their athletes can easily defeat the Israeli ones?
