As i said an expected awful start at the competition. We are like this in every single tournament without any exceptions, those who follow Iran's basketball know this. Samad was decent and Kazemi was solid though he was a bit tired. Haddadi was truly awful today. His rebounds cam from his huge height advantage on CT players. And yes this game showed him how refs will try to maintain him, calling some really stupid and cheap fouls on him. Things will be worse against China referee-wise. So he has to be aware of this.
Overall a bad performance but an ideal result. A win is a win and we should take that. As most said we should be happy the sloppy performance happened right in the first game where we won. Things will get better for sure, but this team needs to work hardddd

FIBA Asia is in a mess right now as they are prohibiting some players to play for national teams as their citizenship haven't been verified. 5 Qatari players including the draftee joke Ngombo were illegally naturalized and that's why Qatar had only 7 players to play today. So 4 of there players fouled out in a act of protest towards what has happened to their country!! The FIBA Asia head is a Qatari sheikh and thats why they have been getting by this for like5 years in Asia. But this time after all the protests went through the FIBA headquarters itself has gotten into this and it seems they are pretty serious on this issue now.
Also 2 philppino players have been bared to play for their team and 1 player from Syria who has a Brazilian origin.
So all in all there is a big possibility that Qatar might withdraw from the games and we might not have a game tomorrow!! Let's wait and see what goes on!

If so, this could be very dangerous for our players in their next game. We don't want any injuries, suspensions...
It is true. He said such a thing in a press conference after their game against Uzbekistan.
