Good game defensively. We still need a big improvement on offense. Matic was trying to use different kind of rotations today. We saw a long time with Samad,Haddadi and Arsalan on court. Seems he is injecting Arsalan to the main lineup little by little as he gets used to the systems.

Tomorrow's game will be the best game so far in the tournament. S,korea will surely be in the top 4.

As for now i think we will see a Iran-Japan SF and a China- S.Korea Semi Final on the other hand.

so we pretty much made the semis right?

one thing i gotta say though, asia is very weak, its not such good practice for haddadi and arsalan...especially haddadi, he gets lazier and slower then when he plays nba he forgets how much quicker he has to be.

by the way, WTF is up with FIBA site?? i cant see any iran highlights........can someone please please find it on youtube or other places?

^same here and vids not on youtube

btw iran will probably play Jordan in quarters. No easy task even though Jordan have been in shit-form because Jordan and Iran have had this rivalry since Haddadi elbowed Zaid Abbas and that fight broke out but apparently other stuff had happened between the two countries before that incident.

There are no quarters top two teams make it. It will most likely be Iran-philipenes china-korea

I think at this point no team is at our level and even in china we will easily beat china just like 2009.

No,you're making a mistake. The Iran-S.Korea winner will meet Jordan in the QF.

Of course, this head-to-head statistics can not really be justified, because our game against Qatar only lasted for 8 minutes (and the first game against Taiwan was a poor display).

But its clear that we need to improve our attempts on 3 pointers and free throws. Add to that the fact that we have faced weaker teams compared to China.

And Haddadi must play better offensively - he has a field-goal percentage of only 45.8%...

FG of close to 50% is not bad

but our team sucks at 3 pointers....i wish we could for once have a player that is capable of just draining them. Those type of players come in handy in big games or making come backs. We need to train our youth in being more confident in 3 point shots.

For free throws we need kazemi to drive the ball in more and haddadi to be more aggressive. Like i said he plays so relaxed in asia compared to NBA. This guy can be one of the best centers of today's game if he had a better work ethic and mentallity. He has the talent, his brain is just not all there.

Strange that nobody has mentioned anything about the game starting.

Iran is up 23-13 after 1st quarter.

Bahrami rolled his ankle. Hope it's not serious.
