      thats nice. But to be fair i think in todays football, there arent that many super stars and there are too many "super teams" that buy up all the good players who dont get to show case themselves all the time. Back in the day, the talent was spread around so there were many memorable players. Also in todays world, people have very very short memory....u have 3 bad games and ur benched for 5 months and u have 3 good games, u are worth 30 mil. all of a sudden. And god forbid u get a long injury, u are just forgotten. lol

        i take your point, though the core of the Barcelona team was not bought but rather raised and nurtured through la masia, Barca's youth system. And that includes Messi who's been at the club since age 9 I believe.

            true, i knew that but i meant in general....there have been many players throughout the years who faded away cuz they had to ride bench at some team cuz either the coach didnt play them or there were too many stars on the team for everyone to play
