he's already here...he's been at the games seeing with grizzlies management. he might still have work permit issue but they usually say inactive, but he was not with the team due to personal reasons...idk maybe he was sick or something

I think he entered US with a visitor's Visa and needs to go to Canada to sort it out like Marc Gasol did few years back.

Haddadi didn't travel to Utah tonight (neither did he to the other away matches). As mentioned earlier he still needs to get a work permit to be able to even sit on the bench.

For those wondering about @HamedHaddadi15 and when he'll play: visa paperwork has been filed and it's all about waiting now.

At least he is getting practice time with the team (when they're in Memphis), so he will be fit for play as soon as it's fixed.

He posted a pic with the team celebrating Tony Allen's bday, and the majority of the team was there, idk if this is significant or not...

he still doesnt have his work permit. What sucks is he is missing out on PRIME playing time with zach randolph and darrel arthur being out. Zach should be back in about 5-6 weeks i think so he needs to get lucky and get a permit now so he can at least play cuz once zach comes and now with speights there, he will again be warming the bench.

Finally some updates:

Hamed Haddadi was on a plane to New York last night. As I understand it, Hadaddi's work visa has been approved, but he has to go to the Canadian embassy in New York to gain entry to the country to get the visa — and then get entry back into the U.S. The expectation is that he will be in a uniform soon, but given the looming weekend and holiday, a team official expressed doubt that Haddadi would be able to go by Monday's game.
