No, he wasn't on the bench. HH was sitting in the audience about four rows behind the Grizzlies bench (together with his agent and Grizzlies GM Chris Wallace), just like in the last home game vs Rockets. He doesn't have a work visa yet and can't play legally. As soon as he signed on they started working those things out, but he needed to go to Canada to be granted a work visa. Until now he only had one for tourism.

Grizzlies is in big need of a backup center, who would give Gasol some rest during games. Reports says that he possibly could be playable either tomorrow against the Timberwolves or against the Jazz on friday.

                  ^ Thanks for the updates.

God...these visa problems can turn out to be such headaches.

i dont get how this is an issue every year, cant they just give him a GREEN CARD? its normal to get a green card for work and what better to prove it than an NBA player? jeez...

Rumors are that the Grizzlies have acquired center Marreese Speights from the 76ers in a three team trade. If this trade goes through, it will affect Haddadi's playing time and status.

They really had no choice. Gasol was their only big basically. I think hamed would die if he played 25 mins in a game lol
