vieri was never able to reach his peak form again

abbiati i dunno! if im not mistaken he is just a sub in juventus, so i guess he isnt getting enough play time to be chosen!

Man I cant believe Maldini wasnt willing to give it one last shot at world cup glory, and as for Abbiati you are right he is a sub but behind Buffon! either way he would be third string anyway so it is pointless.

Maldini retired from international football immediatly after Korea/Japan 2002, he declined to play in EURO2004 as well, so no use moaning about that.

Vieri injured himself a few weeks back that confirmed his absence from most of the campaign coupled with his poor form at AS Monaco.

many people believe its always best to step down in glory or when they are still spoken off nicely, i guess thats why maldini didnt wanna go too far to people start criticising him!

thats exactly why zidane had decided to retire eariler, but when he saw that his team was in desperate need of him he returned!

Actually for Milan Pirlo is a DM and Gatusso RM so I put it this way, which it most likely will be. And Inzaghi has been on fire but I would still start DelPiero since he has the slight edge in my opinion but thats opinionative.
