Qatari club on fire! Al Sadd 2 - 1 Schalke

After winning AFC cup and showing a decent performance in World Club Cup, today they could defend the German powerhouse FC Schalke 2-1 in a friendly game held in Doha! Be it the strength of their foreign players or the discipline of whole team, they show how good management (of course plus money) can lead to success. Anyhow I just brought this up here for two reasons: 1) as a reminder why they have 4 representatives in AFC cup this year (I know I will be bashed for that!) 2) as a warning since we are in the same group with Qatar facing them soon to determine the group leader in WC group stage.

Everytime I see or hear anything with the word "al sadd" in it, I just can't wait till the game on February 29th, 2012.

P.S Their first goal was clearly offside.

I have to say I'm disappointed. I thought their HQ burnt down, I wanted to send emails to my South Korean friends

Look at the fan at 2:27 LMFAO!! He's praying to God that al kooft wins. Like as if his life is depending on this shit friendly !

May God give the deserved what they deserve, and send the undeserved straight to hell.

They probably paid the refs to win the game. Also, friendly match results don't mean shit. Persepolis tied Eintracht Frankfurt and nearly beat Bayern before, but it doesn't mean that Persepolis is as good as them. Also, this Schalke team is not the same one that beat Inter. They are much weaker now and almost lost to an Israeli club

All in all, Qatar has no football talent and is a mercenary team that just acquires foreign players from Africa and South America

LOL Ali jaan, why do you hate these guys so much? if it's because of Sepahan, then it was our own fault and incompetence to have fielded a suspended player, not Al-Saad's fault, we would have done the same thing, had they made the same violation. Hehe we need to be a little more fair with everyone!

              majidmir jaan, thanks for sharing!

^ Keano jan, it's not because of Sepahan. They are just a bunch of cheaters and they didn't deserve the ACL Cup. The Sepahan thing is our own fault as you said. We can't blame our stupidity on other teams. But that's not the case here. This team cheated its way to the final and won. And I'm sure if they played a suspended player, we wouldn't have done the same to them because this is not a part of our culture. Come February 29th, I will forget all about al sadd as a whole. Because it will be its country we will face.

Qatar, you better be ready for 100,000 fans screaming in your ear as our players shoot missiles at your goal!

I dont think reporting misconduct depicts any culture or is a cultural issue. Any team of any country would have done exactly the same thing. In fact, come to think of it, didnt Iran report Iraq's Olympic team for using an over aged player?
Lets not put ourselves on a pedestal and say we would have let something like that slide, on the account of us having some kind of cultural superiority. That just sounds nutty.

However I also dont like the Qatari team and I hope we make a Bahrain out of them 29th of February
