that was a huge blow to grizzlies....hollins has been over playing his main players the last 2 weeks of regular season to get home advantage...he finally gets it and BLOWS the first game after being up by so much. Instead of playing some of his bench when he's up 27 he keeps the main players on to make sure they finish and win. But they were tired and worn out so they lose the lead and at that piont he cant sub them cuz the bench hasnt really played....so he runs them til last sec and they lose.
grizzlies have a good bench, hollins needs to learn to trust them a bit, after all they are not horrendous where they can ruin a game, and many time they actually do better than the main squad. So if he wants to go far in this series and playoff in general he needs to learn to rest his main players.

hamed came in and did his job. He filled in for the big men who were in trouble and played like 12 very important min. He stayed out of foul trouble...he's a bit nervous still after 4 years of being in NBA but thats cuz he hardly plays. I hope this lets the coach have faith in him....he helped his team make a come back and take the lead. as soon as he went out, grizz went down by 10
just his presence in the paint, forced clippers to go outside....i hope he gets more confident though

We've been saying 'I hope the coach has enough faith to play him' for years. The truth is that Haddadi will continue to get very limited opportunities in Memphis under Hollins. It's a real shame for the Grizzlies, especially Gasol who is overworked every game despite having a great back-up player on the bench.

hamed had a decent twelve minutes. boy does he look lost on offense, though. his screens are hit or miss, and i dont think he understands the pick and roll as well as he should. his marking on defense is spotty. his strength are his rebounds, and he's good enough to let gasol rest. although the announcer liked his play last night, i honestly was not too impressed.

Also he's the type that his confidence goes up as he plays more, when he first came in u could tell he was nervous but as soon as he realized the coach is trusting him to stay in there, his confidence went up.

^ I agree with most of what you're saying ekbatan jan. It's just that I can't really accept the whole confidence part. I think he is just scared. Jordan Hill for the Lakers pretty much stepped in and consistently has been getting double doubles. He barely played in the beginning of the season, much like Hamed.
