If i had to say the number one stand out i would say its Seedorf. He would bring soo much to the inexperienced Dutch team.

Same, but some of these players have lost it, like Vieri & Alix & Makaay.
I feel bad for the good ones like Demichelis & Giuly.
As for Cassano, he is just a fat bastard and all the ones picked for italy are 10 times better.

zanetti is really the biggest shock.
just a year ago he played in the confederations cup. he always belonged to the best players and was a real leader. he owned the whole right side.

I can`t believe Spain went without Baraja - he is one of the best midfielders in the world and is a far better player than Iniesta. It just shows the pro-Barca bias that Iniesta got the nod ahead of him.

Seedorf`s exclusion is crazy too - but apparently for team morale Van Basten is building a new team without the moody stars of Holland`s past.

Another crazy decision is France choosing Barthez as first choice ahead of Coupet who has been incredible this year.

well regarding baraja
He s great and I guess could ve been used
but u see, baraja is at his best in DM or CM and I m guessing Albelda is better at DM...someone who s only concentrated for DM and no move ups
and for CM, well we got Xavi who has great ball control and the great xabi alonso....so it is not because baraja is not good enough, it is because of spain s massive talented midfield...
