Lakers about to win game 2 to go up 2-0 in the series. Lakers are looking good so far! They could be sleeper pick in the playoffs!

Who are the favorites to win the title?

With all recent injuries ocurring, especially the one Rose suffered, you would now probably pick a team out of Spurs, Thunder, Lakers, Heat or Celtics to win it all.

Might be needless to say, but here is what I think of match-ups for those 5 teams + a Rose-less Bulls:

            SAN ANTONIO SPURS
            Big threat: -
            Medium threat: Lakers, Celtics, Heat
Little threat: Grizzlies (barely this time)

            OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER
            Big threat: Spurs, Heat
Medium threat: Lakers, Mavericks, Grizzlies, Bulls, Pacers, Hawks, Clippers, Knicks
            Little threat: Nuggets, Jazz

            LA LAKERS
            Big threat: -
Medium threat: Spurs, Heat, Clippers, Celtics, Bulls, Thunder
            Little threat: Mavericks, Pacers, Nuggets

            MIAMI HEAT:
            Big threat: -
            Medium threat: Celtics, Spurs, Lakers
Little threat: Bulls, Mavericks, Hawks, Thunder

            BOSTON CELTICS
Big threat: Thunder (worst possible match-up for Boston)
Medium threat: Spurs, Lakers, Mavericks, Pacers, Hawks, Bulls
Little threat: Knicks, Nuggets, Clippers, 76ers

            CHICAGO BULLS (without Rose):
            Big threat: Spurs, Heat
Medium threat: 76ers, Hawks, Lakers, Thunder, Pacers, Celtics, Mavericks
            Little threat: Clippers, Grizzlies, Magic

NOTE: With big threat meaning most likely losing the seires, medium threat meaning a tight series and little threat meaning teams with a slight chance to cause an upset. Teams not listed need a miracle to win a series against the team.

Conclusion: Spurs will be representing the Western conference (unless Lakers knocks them out) and Heat will be representing the Eastern conference (unless Celtics knocks them out). I'll give the advantage to the Spurs if they go up against the Heat in the finals. Thus, my guess is that Spurs will win the trophy (unless injuries strike them).

Pierce needs to wake up and KG needs to guard Josh Smith because Bass isn't quick enough. It would really be nice if we can get some bench points from Dooling, Pietrus, and Pavlovic too.

Yea I called it too, the Hawks needed a healthy Horford to have any kinda chance but without him Boston's frontcourt is gonna walk over them.

Josh Smith might be out for Game 3. Need more fast break points, and the bench needs to give a little more effort if we want to win this series.

ahhh man i miss the good old days when the pistons used to be in the eastern conference year in and year out.
what the hell happened to us? now we can't even make the playoffs anymore.. so sad.
