One thing that is hard to get unnoticed is the class-act football fans of most these European countries, in the past 2 days we witnessed some great gestures by the spectators of the eliminated teams who gave their teams standing ovation after their beloved teams got kicked out, today it was so delightful to watch the graceful Dutch fans supporting their team upon the final whistle, same with Danish fans!

In some cases, fans supporting their knocked out sides are justified. Denmark, a small nation of 5 million, in my opinion, put in a magnificent showing over 3 games and played with real courage in the toughest group. They deserve all the adulation that comes their way from their fans. Maybe, a case can be made for Ireland who tried hard despite having a team that is technically inferior to the opponents they faced.

...but the Dutch!! They deserve all the abuse they get, and if I was a dutch fan in the stadium I would make sure my displeasure was known. Once again, they have ruined it for themselves through stupid, selfish, egotistical behaviour. A team that on paper should steamroller their way to the cup.

Shame on the Dutch, they are like the French team of 2010.

I was really impressed with France too.. they're play football with heart and mind. I didn't care for France much before with Zidane and Henry and their ex coach.
