This is really rich coming from an Italy fan. Not only a case of the pot calling the kettle black, but also that he is so desperate to dig up dirt on EPL he has to go back 20 years to the mid 90's and the time of Matt Le Tissier, Claus Lundekvam, Bruce Grobbelar, Fashanu et al....all retired now.

The Italian league is the most boring, corrupt, filth-laden football league in world.

^ I agree with you they should've have done something about it but its a case of almost 20years ago god knows what else was going on in that time apart from Match fixing.
and I'm sorry but punishing them doesn't make it any better for what they did. Its like saying they guy killed someone he will go to jail to serve time, it doesn't change anything he still did it.
1 thing I am certain of is that in any sports after a tragedy or issues similar to match fixing after a while people start forgetting about and put the things behind them. I mean alright there was a match fixing in 2005 but the following year everybody completely forgot about it when Italy won the world cup and almost nobody talked about it

well the punishment in italy has worked, its being done way less and teams and players are scared to do it. Only ones that get caught now are mostly from lower levels cuz they dont make much money so their way of making extra cash is betting or getting paid by gamblers who have money on the game. But also they are very harsh in italy, like some of the cases are just accusations someone made...so i can come and totally bullshit that mr X took a bribe and they take u to court. It kinda sucks...thats how criscito missed out on euros, just cuz someone saw him with some people so they assumed he was up to something. The evidence is just not all there but its good that they're cleaning it all up. Sure people forget these thigns but doesnt mean it shouldnt be monitored and punished. These english teams are still doing it, its just that no league would let their best teams go to relegation or miss CL cuz of match fixing like italy did. And they actually paid for it....since juve went down, so did serie A in europe (although milan and inter did win 2 CL titles) but in general they lost points in europa league and now they are a spot down.

There is no issue here. Claus Lundekvam is a mentally unstable alcoholic making stupid comments about his former colleagues. Matt Le Tissier admits to kicking the ball out of play 20 years ago on purpose to win a bet, is this seriously on the same scale as Italy's grand stinking mess???

The only team that was RAPED, was Italy by Spain... 4-0. Have Italy managed to dislodge the four that were so expertly packed into their colon 2 weeks ago?

For your information, England defeated Spain 1-0 in November 2011!

I'm amazed that people can actually watch the Italian leagues for entertainment. Maybe you guys just enjoy scripted drama? In that case, you should watch the theatre instead of Italian football which pretends to pass itself off as an actual contest?

The sheer level of corruption and moral degradation of Italian football is on a scale comparable to Iran's football.

There you go. One definite and concrete similarity between Italy and Iran, for all the wannabe-Italians out there.

yes u were clearly raped. im not gonna respond to any more childish posts about italy. Im not here to answer all u little kids on everything that has to do with Italy. To each their own, my team reached the final unlike ur teams who didnt, even if they lost 10-0 they still made the final. Not to mention 4 world cups, 1 euro cup and shit load of CL trophies. So if ur little made up stories make u feel better so be it.

Why are some of you shooting the messenger?! So what there has been match fixing in Italy?! Does that mean that we can't talk about match fixing in other leagues?! Italy has been punished for it, but match fixing exists almost in every league, even the unsignificant ones!
