AC Milan accept PSG's €60 million bid for Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani has long wanted to cash in on the pair in order to ease the club's financial conerns and he now looks to have been granted his wish
Paris Saint-Germain are on the verge of pulling off a sensational €60 million double swoop for AC Milan duo Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Goal.com can confirm.
Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani has been planning to offload the pair for months in order to wipe out a significant chunk of the club's mounting debts, as well as remove two hefty salaries from the wage bill, with Ibrahimovic earning a reported €12m a year, while Thiago Silva is paid a yearly sum of €6m plus bonuses at San Siro.

Galliani's plan was initially undermined by the Berlusconi family, with club owner Silvio Berlusconi blocking the proposed sale of Thiago Silva to PSG for €46m at the last minute before subsequently handing the Brazilian a lucrative new contract.

However, Galliani has been given the green light to cash in on Milan's two most valuable assets, meaning it will now be up to the players involved to decide if they want to move to the French capital.

Thiago Silva claimed over the weekend that he was "glad" that his proposed switch to the Parc des Princes collapsed, revealing that he never wanted to leave San Siro, but that the deal has now been resurrected should not be an issue for the Brazil international.

Ibrahimovic, meanwhile, has expressed an interest in relocating to Paris and the Swede's representative, Mino Raiola, is also reportedly keen to secure the 30-year-old striker one last big pay day.

As for Milan, they accept that filling the void left by Thiago Silva could be close to impossible, but they are confident of finding an adequate replacement for Ibrahimovic. Indeed, not only are the Rossoneri considering reigniting their interest in Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez, they are also, as Goal.com revealed earlier this week, courting the Argentine's club-mate Edin Dzeko.

Liverpool forward Andy Carroll and Siena striker Mattia Destro are also under consideration, with the latter representing a particularly attractive proposition for Galliani, whose goal is to build a new Milan, younger and cheaper, but no less successful.

          Jealous?

Don't worry guys, the deal won't be done as Berluscuni will refuse to sell its players to us for the 3rd time (after Pato this winter and T.silva).

According to french sources (which are not 100% reliable but more than iranian ones), he is going to sign next monday for psg. So wait and see.

How is he? I heard he is the next pirlo...

Ibra is getting old and thats why his worth isnt as much as T.Silva. and getting Thiago silva and Ibra for 60 is really cheap seeing how T.Silva is one of the best defenders in the world and Ibra is one of the best strikers.

as long as ibra doesnt have al-tanbal mode on as he does for Swedish National team he will do great in france

From what I've read it's 42/45 million for Silva and 20 million for Ibra.
Ibra is going to earn 13,5 million ex bonuses and Silva 7,5 ex bonuses!
If PSG could snatch up Maicon, Sneijder and Julio Cesar as well, they might even win the CL!

cesar is getting dropped by inter, they bought udinese's keeper. PSG already has sirigu as keeper, he's a beast...and they have pastore for sneijder's position. lol

                          +1

Sirigu is the number 3 in the squadra azzura (the next buffon maybe). Sneijder is getting old and is far from his 2010 shape

no, nothing to do with the actual club. i lived in Qatar as you know and half of the ba$tards now suddenly support PSG after supporting other teams. and all i hear from them is we this and we that?!?!?! i have no problem with the Real Supporters like you as i know you have stuck with them through thick & thin. for you its a reward for loyalty but they are just bandwaginners.
