Lamar Odom traded back to the Clippers

Nick Young is now a 76er

    Elton Brand joined the Mavericks

D.J. Augustin signs with the Pacers

Jamal Crawford also joins the Clippers

The Clippers just need a big man that can shoot and they can improve on how well they did last season.

Terry will fill in fine for Ray, I also hope we can keep Dooling and Pietrus and try to get a few other good signings.

It looks like Jeremy Lin might be on his way to Houston. The Knicks just got Felton (along with K Thomas) from the Blazers and if Lin stays the team will be stacked with point guards (though Kidd could switch to play as a shooting guard instead). Also Melo was heard saying this earlier today about the Knicks matching the Rockets offer on Lin:

"It's not up to me. It's up to the organization to say that they want to match that ridiculous contract."
It might seem like Melo is not happy seeing someone else being in the spotlight in the team. Is the Linsanity over in NY?

PHX won the bid for Scola, now they have a nice frontcourt to go with a prominent young PG, good work by PHX front office.

words cant describe how much i hate lin and grunwald right now....such bad management and such a messed up decision on lin's part.

i was watching ESPN earlier and they were talking about how lin was 85% ready by game 5 in the play offs and didnt even wanna play, WOW.

also they were saying that he got a big head and started thinking highly of himself a little after the linsanity thing started.....i can see that.

anyhow, its so messed up that lin, who was CUT by the rockets is goin back to that very team and turned his back on the only team that was willing to give him that opportunity. if it wasnt for the knicks, he wouldnt be anything other than a roster-filler just like he was, if that. shows how ungreatful he was....he didnt even try to get a fair deal done with the knicks. if he really wanted to stay in NY he wouldnt have signed that damn offer sheet with houston....which any idiot knows the knicks would be fu**** if they had to pay him 14.2 mil in his third season.

bottom line is lin knew EXACTLY what he was doing by signing that offer sheet.

lin is a disgrace....hope he doesnt do shit in houston.

Scola is a good pickup, but having Robert Sarver as their owner has only damaged this team. After Stoudemire left, Steve Nash wasted the last 2 years staying loyal to the franchise and the team didn't acquire any good players. I have been following the Suns the past 2 seasons (because of Nash being my favorite player) and unless they'll get Eric Gordon from the Hornets they will not go very far. Dragic was a good signing and with Dudley, Beasley and Scola they'll have a good lineup, but players like Frye and Gortat have had some very long streaks where they go ice-cold. Frye was not good at all from 3 point range last season even though many of his shot attempts were wide open. And Gortat looked amazing mainly because of his pick'n'roll with Nash - at the end of the season he had butter fingers and could not score a basket even if his life depended on it. Players like Warrick, Childress (was amnestied today) and Robin Lopez have mostly been garbage.

The team also lacks a winning mentality - they probably had the most humble squad around the league the past season, but they need someone that can be a little more aggressive. Maybe Gordon can solve this?

I'll predict they will fight for the 8th seed along with Dallas (and maybe Houston depending on if they get Howard).

Yeah, I don't think he even deserves that kind of money (not yet atleast). It all might have been a fluke and he has already shown that he is injury-prone. Maybe the best thing for the Knicks to do is to get rid of Lin. However, it was also reported today that Jason Kidd apparently got arrested for drunk-driving. Although unlikely, Kidd could face jail time up to a year, so maybe the Knicks must keep Lin afterall?

BTW, have you guys thought about Lin playing for Chinese Taipei in the future (and McGee playing for Philippines for that matters)? It would definitely rise the class and the competition of basketball in Asia, but in the same time things would get more difficult for the Iranian team to be successful, say reaching the Olympics. What do you think?

NOLA has already matched the offer, EJ is staying with the Hornets and also the Suns will probably end up with Orange Juice Mayonnaise as well.

So when Linsanity started, I was telling people that it was a fluke. Remember that the year before Raymond Felton was suddenly blowing up stat sheets (I would know, my roommate was lucky enough to draft him in our fantasy bball league). Then we saw guys like Toney Douglas and later Imam Shurpert play ball that seemed to be beyond their level. I think Lin is just a product of the system, and his success was only magnified because he is Asian-American. Plus people didn't notice that Lin had many games with +6 turnovers.

Felton went to Portland after, and it took a coaching change near the end of the season for him to get anywhere close to his season with the Knicks. Now he is back with the Knicks.

I do think Lin is a good player, but I don't think he will be as good as he appeared last season when he goes to Houston or any other team.

Dallas is a huge variable in the playoff race next season. Even though they parted ways with Jason Terry and Jason Kidd, I feel that Darren Collison and Elton Brand are going to play a lot better in Mavs uniforms. If they do play better, Dallas can be as high as a 5th seed, if not they will miss the playoffs. They need to keep wheelin' and dealin'.
