Let's hope so! The whole not competing against israelis is stupid. Imagine how demoralizing it is for an athlete to train hard for years and then not even be able to compete because of some stupid politics.
Competing against israelis would make it more exciting anyway, trying to beat your "arch enemy". We will win some and lose some, but since israelis really suck at sports we will more likely beat them most of the time.
didnt one of our wreslters last time get disqualified cuz he came across an israeli??
it sucked...i forgot who...imagine u have to throw it all away for some dumb childish shit
what are the consequences if they don't compete vs israel
IOC doesn't have the balls, trying 2 b politically correct & all, but they should really throw IR out of the games 4 such behaviors

I think you are refering to Arash Miresmaeili in the 2004 olympics for Judo. He forfeited his match against an Israeli opponent by putting himself above the weight limit. He says he did it for Palestine. I was mad.
"I'm here to clean the carpets. Most of the world is carpeted. And, one day, we will do the cleaning."
the leadership rejected what the head of the Iranian Olympic Mission said just one day ago.
Poor Iranian athletes who have to abandon the race only bc some mollas hate Israel.
IOC will suspend any Iranian athlete and possibly the corresponding federation and those affected can't take part in any further competitions, at least that was what they said when they gave the ultimatum after that incident with our swimmer.
IR forced that poor Judo champion from Iran to bow out by faking an injury back in Athens 2004, so as not to compete against an Israeli. The ayatollahs did not get anything out of it other than losing a 100% gold medal by Arash; I think they are slowly getting wiser. Read up more on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arash_Miresmaeili eventhough the article may have been diplomatic in exposing the events.
