My argument was that you can't measure a league's strength based on their representatives' performance in UCL and I did a good job supporting it. Didn't expect you to be able to counter it in a logical way anyway since it's the truth you are privy too as well. Don't worry though Serie A is still a more respectable league than La Liga.

well you didnt mention how you measure a league's quality and strength. If its not CL then what is it? I never agreed that CL or EL are a good measuring stick but i was just going by what everyone goes by around here for the last 5 years or so. You cant use an example whenever it suits you, either use it all the time or don't use it at all. All these years people bring up results of europe to justify why one league is better than others so i'm just playing by the same rules to prove you guys wrong.

To me the logical way is analyzing things over a long period of time to justify why some league or style of football is better than others...that includes the competition in that league, the performance in europe, the national team performance of that country, the type of players they produce, how the game is played, how TACTICAL it is, and the coaching.....so its a collection of things. But people around here like to come and throw ONE LINERS around and a few stats and avoid certain facts when they wanna argue something.

This is also a recent thing ive noticed in the past 6 years or maybe decade, there never used to be these stupid arguments of whos better than who...u just let the game speak and every year things change. So when someone brings me a stupid argument, i try to prove them wrong using their own stupid measuring stick. When i prove you or them wrong just accept it instead of turning it around on me like it was my idea. I'm just playing by the rules i didnt make nor agree with but if thats the way you want to proven wrong then ok sure.


What annoys me about football fans these days or people of this board is the non-sense hate and lack of credit where its due. I never discredit or hate on something that is good or special. I might not like madrid or ronaldo but i dont deny their greatness...I dont like brazil, holland, germany NT eithers but i dont deny their strength and talent. But people seem to have a thing about denying Italy's greatness when it has been proven for many generations and continues to do so...further more they feel like they have to bring up my name anytime something happens to Italy or Juventus or whatever...as if i'm FIGC or the owner of these teams. I'm simply a football fan and I have certain teams and players i follow so if someone tries to put them down unjustly i prove them wrong. Am I wrong for proving something wrong that is not true? somehow i get crucified for telling the truth and stating facts. I guess people just dont accept reallity and wanna see things their way

Why did you say Galatasaray like that? Dont think of them lightly they have a strong past in European football.

My measuring stick is the eye test. I don't claim I watch all the leagues but I usually watch important games and a few big name vs a regular name matches in between from Serie A, La liga, Bundesliga (Bayern I watch a lot though naturally) while EPL is the only league I watch a game from every week. When I watch La liga I see 18 teams that although unwillingly have become Barca and real's *****es all trying to concede less goals than the other. Serie A since Calciopoli has been dismal, I used to enjoy watching Serie A on Iranian channel 3 when Lazio won it or how Inter kept missing it, Ronaldo used to play in Italy ffs! Anyway that's the Serie A I enjoyed and comparing to that this current one is shit. Bundesliga used to be as good when Daei and Kia were in it, then it went down so much it annoyed me, but the last 4 years or so it's been second best only to EPL.

there was no burlusconi or millions in world cup 2006 in dortmund stadium, also there was no burlusconi in euro 2012, all im going to say is watch out for Juve, they can take anyone out over 2 games especially with the return of conte, and i am a milanisti

Yeah they have really crazy fans did you see the match when they played in Braga? They lit a bunch of flares almost caught the place on fire but most turkish fans are always like that

AC Milan v Barca - nice rematch of last years quarters, but should be no problem for Barca
