      Khahesh mikonam. I just want people to enjoy and appreciate Iranian athletes outside of football for a change.

          Italy and Japan are doing very well while China and USA are on the lead. Germany has won a single silver medal on day 3 in women's fencing. I am hoping Iran scoops up something soon to at least get on the map.

                    soon?

                    ======

                    Unrelated, but does anyone here do archery? I've done it before and I love it. Watching highlights of Zahra Dehghanabnavi's match (ajab famile kato kalei dare mashalla) is making me wanna join an amateur archery club.

                      I've learnt it's not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life that counts

                          If I've learned one thing in my 24 years of existence on this earth, it's that there is no limit to the stupidity of us Iranians. Trust me, the same idiot leftists and hezbollahis who rioted in 79 and the same bandwagoners who followed these idiots in the streets still exist in Iran in great numbers. We like to call arab countries names and act all high and mighty when in fact Iranians are some of the most ass backward people in the region. The arabs have their Islam and they're proud of it, but they don't let it limit them. We not only follow their culture and religion (islam and the most ass backward version of it), but we go 10 steps overboard.

                          This shitty regime is here to stay and the only way it's gonna go is if Iran breaks up or if the US attacks Iran. Other than those two ways, I don't see the regime even reforming. The people of Iran simply don't want to open their hearts to modernity and Iranian culture and civilization, and even if they do, they're not willing to do anything about it.

                          We're lucky to be living outside Iran. I'm starting to train myself to just forget about Iran completely and not stress myself anymore. WTF is the point? The people as a whole are just too damn backward, even in the major cities.
