looks like he got disqualified because he kept hugging the other guy. Not sure though. he refused to shake the referees hand and go over to the referee and cuban boxer when they announced who won. He shook the other coaches' hands though. Left the ring when the winner was announced. Crowd was pretty loud in his favor

Utter fvckn joke!!
I wouldve done exactly what he done not standing next to that fvck! Well done to him for thanking the Cuban coaches. He made Iran proud. The crowd was shouting Ali! Ali! Ali!
The Aussie commentator was applauding him and said he better man and fighter lost. Tough! Poor bastard

BOXING
Bizarre scenes in the boxing just now as Iranian boxer Ali Mazaheri is disqualified for a series of seemingly innocuous offences in his match against Cuban Jose Larduet. He spent a few minutes standing in his corner of the ring, refusing to go to the middle so the referee could acknowledge Larduet as the winner. Eventually he walked over to acknowledge the Cuban corner, before leaving the ring, ignoring both Larduet and the referee.
"It was six of one and half a dozen of the other. It was a terrible refereeing display," says BBC commentator Richie Woodhall.
