There you have it. Look how the world treats us. no matter how many Iranians in europe or america trying to dikride the west, they dont give a fukk about you. im pissed of, i hope the referee burns in eternal hell fire, and i hope this is a reminder to our people that how much you kiss the americans and europeans ass they dont like you. have a nice day
Having done a bit of amateur boxing in my time here is what can happen.
Iran can appeal. But only for 'after the fact' win. This means that Ali can be given the 'win' but not go further in the tournament. Only other way of reversal is by illegal KO which is very rare in the Olympics.
Appeals are hard. Its a silly rule but its basically this way because of the tight Olympic schedule. This was the case funnily enough for a Cuban boxer in Atlanta if I remember correctly.
Ref decision is final...unfort. He made us proud today though.
shit man so bad , i mean how can you disqualify someone at the olympics and destroy his life ??? if he has done something disrespectful or so ok but for some mistake ???
George Groves @StGeorgeGroves
There's more corruption AIBA boxing than there is in world politics! Oh no the Cuban might lose.. better disqualify the Iranian!
in my many years of watching all sorts of different sports, this might have been one of the worse calls I have ever seen made. I've been following boxing games this year around pretty closely and there has been a fair amount of hugging by all boxers, so how come its the iranian that gets disqualified? the dsq was total bs and i feel really bad for ali. he was the better boxer and was on his way to win the match, go on to the top 8, and have a very good chance at a metal. really dissapointed...

Its sports dadash. Thats the harsh reality. The crowd obviously backed Ali. So did the commentators. Like other members think, the world maybe against us, but as long as we can keep our pride like our boy did tonight then thats all we can do really. Lets hope our other 2 boxers come through with medals in the remaining rounds.
What do you guys think is going to happen to the ref? Will there be any kind of review on his call?
This is disgusting and totally in contravention of the spirit of the olympic games. At the opening ceremony, one of the judges/referees swore an oath on behalf of all those officiating to be fair and just. In order to maintain any credibility, the IOC/AIBA should instigate an enquiry into why such a one-sided and biased action was taken by the German referee.
