I don't know anything about boxing, but I watched the video in this thread.
My question:
Why did Mazaheri keep holding his opponent when the referee CLEARLY, through verbal warnings and signs, told him to stop holding his opponent?
I saw that Ferdousipor also kept asking this question, but Mazaheri couldn't provide a logical and convincing explanation for repeatedly holding his opponent...

^^ if u watch anyother boxing matches there is a lot of holdings and usually warnings dont happen because its the frst round.... 3 warnings nvr happen in quick succession (3 in 20 seconds), and the last one the cuban led with his head into mazaheri so mazaheri grabbed him to stop himself from possilby falling.... if there was anyone who should have gotten the 3rd warning it was the cuban

i agree, he did get a good number of warnings, however i dont think he thought the ref was going to actually disqualify him. I think the ref shoulda been more clear that he will disqualify him if he keeps doing it. Honestly i dont know why he did, usually its a defensive tactic to slow your opponent, catch your breath, etc....
