Do not forget about Ehsan Haddadi the discus thrower. He is also a medal contender.

Iran is the 17th largest economy by PPP and we have a bigger pop'n. We should be outperforming them.
I don't understand why some of you call others names for keeping it real. This is not optimism, this is just making yourself feel better.

Thats why he missed all his attempts and went out.
Rostami's bronz is worth a gold to me because, as Tavakoli (former Olympic gold medalist in Sydney 2000) also said on IRIB, he wasn't 100% fit tonight.
One of his wrists looked weak...

I don't know about you, but I expect a country of almost 80 mln, with the 17th largest economy in PPP to do much better than this. Why is it that you're so content with borderline failure when our potential is so much more?

only on this board you'll find someone saying that living conditions in Pyong Yang are great and use terms such as "very rich."
You guys keep on living in la la land while to world moves on and leaves you in the dust.

I think if our wrestlers do not choke we will break our own record in gold medals. We have 5 world champions in our wrestling teams. We might even break the total medals record as well. We have one world Taekwando world champion. A discus thrower which got bronze in world championship. And Salimi who is also a world champion plus Anoushirvan who is second to him.
