Gholamreza Takhti the Iranian legend is the first to win Olympic gold medal for Iran in 87km free style Wrestling. It happened 1n December 1, 1956 in Melbourne Australia.
In fairness to Pahlavan Ali Habibi that day in Melbourne he also won a gold in 67km free style wrestling.

Takhti is not among us any more but his legend will stay with us for ever.
