    I don't see what's funny.. You're trying to hard.

You and the others who try to undermine the commemoration of our players is beyond sad.

I'm really beginning to get enough of some people ruining every thread with their anti-Arab/anti-Islam/anti-whatever political/religious shit all the time! So what he said "Mashallah"?! If he wants to say that, who are you to tell him not to?! If you want to use any other word to congratulate our athletes, go ahead, but don't start changing the topic of the threads all the time!

And half of our words are Arabic, words we use all the time on a daily basis! Don't tell me everytime you meet someone you say "Dorood", and not "Salam" for instance. Half of the kids on PFDC can't even read or write Farsi and barely speak it properly and they are telling some grown men what words to use and what not
Persian Pride running through my veins!

This is quite immature. Around 95% of the crowd last night were saying 'mashallah' before every lift Behdad or Sajjad would get on the stage.. besides, we got other things to talk about than pick on this. We are at a happy moment right now, and let's not argue with each other because of what word someone is using.

I've been to quite alot of sport games, but last night was probably my FAVOURITE sport event ever. Watching the olympics is unique.. watching your country get Gold and Silver is just undescribable. The atmosphere was electrifying, iranian flags all over the arena and the fans were as loud as ever. Chants of the night was 'Behdad dooset darim.. Sajjad dooset darim..' It was just fantastic, Jaye shoma hame khali..

During weightliftng, few iranians received the news that Rezaei got GOLD in wrestling, the whole crowd erupted and jumped out of joy!! As I left the arena, I was also informed of Hadadi getting 2nd place, and that was our first athletics medal?!? Great night.. doesn't get better than this.

FANTASTICCC NIGHT OUT! still tired from it!

u were there?? oh my gosh i am so jealous ... EYVALLAH be to last day was for me one best and emotionals days ... watching my iranian heros(hope i am not gonna be bashed for not using persian ) getting 4medals!! Although all of them did a incredible job, to me haddadis willnes and power was the most impressive one!!!

i was watching all of them live on 3 different devices and it was just significant, haddadi throwing 68.18 with the first attempt was so great!! And Anoushiravani beating the russian guy was also a very emtional moment for me !! Salimi was the whole time not even in struggle so, i was expecting him to win the gold medal. And finally rezaei who was so dominating he kicked everybodies ass, it was unbeliveable how easy he kicked anybody out of HIS MAT !!!

ONCE AGAIN CONGRATS TO OUR HEROS !! khodaya in ruzaee khoshiro az ma irania nageer !!!

Yes I was there. Truly unique atmosphere. Also, will be going to free-style wrestling on saturday, hopefully our iranians do well. If not, will still cheer them on pride as all the athletes tried their best this year. Dameshun garm!

If anyone was to see what happened yesterday with discus throw, weightlifting and wrestling and are desperate for a link like I was:

English is the chosen international language of the world, and since people on these forums all have different locations and backgrounds, we choose to communicate in a way which allows everyone to understand.

So you automatically put me down claiming that "I cant read and write farsi", and that " I cant speak it properly". Do you even know me? Please point out something valid other than your "age".
The first part of your post is ok, and I will take it into consideration, as I understand your point.
But your second part is basically a condescending personal attack, and a bad one at that( there was no other young person in here)

Secondly what you view as a "change in topic"
can be viewed as constructive criticism. Now, if I had ONLY complained about the words, your argument would have validity.
But I mentioned a small criticism, and also congratulated our athletes.

How exactly is that changing the subject?

First of all, stop the "djephe gereftan" and victimizing yourself! I did not quote you or called your name in my post! My point was a general one, something we see more and more often in the forums! You know yourself better than anyone else here, and if you feel addressed by my post, then I guess it indeed does concern you, otherwise you wouldn't rush in to defend yourself when no-one had mentioned your name!

Secondly, if someone opens a congratulation thread for our athletes, and someone else comes here and in their first post starts whining about the origin of the words being used, Arab this or that and that certain words should not be used because they are Arabic, and by that initiating a discussion about something totally different than the topic subject (see, after your post, 15-20 of the following posts in the next 2-3 pages were about "Mashallah" and which words to be used and what not), then yes that is changing the topic subject and differentiating it to a ddiscussion about something else! It does not matter that after your off-topic comment you dedicated a few other words to congratulate our athletes, as I mentioned above, your post initiated a whole other discussion in the following pages!

Thirdly, I had never paid attention to your age until now that you mentioned it, but if you consider yourself as a "kid" at the age of 17 that you feel attacked by my comment, then that is really your problem. Again, I wasn't targetting you, I was addressing a bigger problem we see on the forums, which is that some kids who have only seen a few youtube footages and read some BS on the internet, come here and talk smack to 30-40 year old members, trying to tell them who is a "true Iranian" and who is not and tell them what to do and what not to do!

So again, as a bottom line, chill down! Don't worry, if I wanna address you, I make sure to quote you or to mention your name! Taarof nadaram ba kasi Actually, the first paragraph was a little bit targetted to you mainly, but not specifically, since it was you who said that "Mashallah is not acceptable", but the 2nd paragraph was a general concern! If my post was only targetted to you, I would have mentioned your name or quoted you!

Is it really that hard to honestly reply: "I dont know any farsi." ?
