At least another Silver guaranteed for Iran and it probably will be Silver... The Turk has been much more impressive, Motamed has got to the final by the smallest of margins....

Also good news for tomorrow the draws have been made for 55kg and 74kg Freestyle and Sadegh Goudarzi (74kg) has avoided the only 2 people he can't beat as they are on the other side of the bracket.... so on paper that is another guaranteed Silver for Iran but anything can happen... Hassan Rahimi also has a decent draw but will probably face the #2 in the Quarter finals, the Bulgarian that beat him last year....

So I predict Sadegh Goudarzi to get a Silver tomorrow and Rahimi Bronze.

No we are for cheating if it helps Iran out.

In the preliminary round? Unfortunately, I couldn't get up early enough to watch that. What happened?

And to answer your question - no, nobody would comment on that if it had happened. People wouldn't whine and moan until Iran lost so they can blame it on someone (some of the arguments have been valid though). What I love even more is how some people neither take part in a certain sport and only watch it during the Olympics over the course of a few days. All of a sudden, they become experts on the sport. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Sorry, cheating should never be approved regardless if it's for or against Iran zamin. That's NOT fair play and sportsmanship.

Ok give him the 3pts, still 7-5 Bagheri. Now what? I wouldn't have complained if that happened to an Iranian either.

It was very sweet to see Bagheri and Nikpakht and coaches hug. I really hope their respect for each other serves as an example that Iranians and Afghans are closer to each other than anyone else.

Bagheri has 1 appeal left while the Turkish guy has 0. That could work to his advantage in the final match.

good comment, afghans are our only brothers

As it stands now, Bagheri's two advantages are:

                          1. He has one appeal left (as Iranian-Patriot mentioned). The Turkish competitor has 0.

                          2. He is 5-6cm taller than the Turkish competitor. Given that the Turkish competitor likes to go for head shots, this slight height advantage can help better protect Bagheri.
