Rosicky has been the lifeline of Borussia Dortmund (incidently my fav Bundesliga club) for many troublesome years. He is one amazing passing machine and his vision as well as his dribbling will suit Arsenal system well. He also takes wicked free kicks and corners as well

Tomas Rosicky has become my most fav Czech player

Rosicky is class - one of my favourite midfielders. He has passing, technique, vision...just the player Arsenal need to complement their midfield. Fabregas, Rosicky, Hleb, Gilberto, Ljungberg, Diaby, Reyes and Van Persie - Arsenal have some midfield to pick from next season.

It just remains to be seen how he adapts to the Premiership`s physical demands.

They really do need to buy some good defensive cover though - Wenger is a bit gung ho...he seems only to ever pay big money for midfielders and attackers and hopes to pick up bargains in the defence and in goal. That policy has cost them and he needs to change it if they want to win the title.

defensive players Wenger has paid little/nothing for...
              Lehman - Excellent goal keeper
Campbell - Not at his best now, still good, and was amazing
Sendaros - Very promising and has shown great talent and maturity
              A. Cole - Excellent player, both going forward and defensively
Toure - In my opinion one of the best central defenders in the world
Eboue - A young player who in such a short time has practically fixed his position in right back. He has amazing pace too...

I just named a few names there...

I hope this move forces Hleb on the bench. Hleb just isn't Prem claibre, he was great in Bundesliga but hasn't adapted well. Rosicky is really good, smart, although he'd better gain some muscle.

I agree with most of your points, except for Senderos - he is just not consistent enough, looks shaky, is slow on the turn and lacking in co-ordination. To me he just never looks like developing into a really good player.

My point was that lack of defensive cover has cost Wenger hugely in the last couple of seasons. Look at their defensive problems this year - as soon as a couple of players get injured they have no depth and have to turn to the likes of the comically bad Cygan, the youngsters and playing Flamini out of position.

What`s worse is Ashley Cole (and maybe Lauren also) are leaving, Sol Campbell is unstable at the moment and was on the verge of quitting football and behind the players you have mentioned there is very little depth. Clichy is good, but when you have Pascal Cygan as one of your most crucial reserve players then you`re in trouble.

And yet, instead of paying up for some quality defensive cover Wenger decides to splash out and bolster his midfield yet again...I just wonder how many mistakes Cygan and Senderos will have to make before Wenger changes his attitude.
