Yeh it was a shame I was really hoping for him to get the Gold. But we have a few chances left of taking that tally to 6 maybe even 7 Golds

I'm really glad he got the Silver medal but no, he should not have gotten the Gold. Aside from the preliminary round, I was able to watch all of the matches in that weight category and Tazegul rightfully won Gold. Bagheri is a great athlete but in Taekwondo, your offence needs to be as good as your defence if you're going to succeed. Even for Bagheri, who is more defensively minded, it's only a matter of time before your opponent lands one of their axe, roundhouse, side, or spinning hook kicks. He also lost twice to Tazegul in the previous year so these two are no strangers to one another. I'm sure if Bagheri is willing to fight more offensively in the future, he can definitely beat Tazegul and even win Gold at the 2013 TKD World Championship.
