Reza Yazdani a true Iranian Hero

such a sad ending to one of our greatest wrestlers. He really was going to get gold and he put up with the pain like a REAL MAN and just couldnt do it anymore

He deserves his own thread and i wish him well hope to see him in 2016 olympics if possible if not we possibly missed seeing one of our best ever on the big stage

and he would have won Gold for sure... he beat the American at last year's world championship... (where Yazdani became world champ)

Imagine if he hadn't been injured and if Abdevali hadn't been unfairly targeted. We could have had an extra 2 gold medals!

Damesh garm for fighting like a LION.

Unfortunatley, he suffered torn ligaments and meniscus, will have surgery and will be sidelined for six months.

i was truly looking forward for his performance. Out of all our athletes, i really wanted to see him kick ass and salimi lift the heaviest weights. I was really really sad when this happened....especially how he tried so hard to get on with it. He actually won the fight before it.

they should give him and honorary bronze medal at least

i got goosebumps when he got up and came back in for one last time... only if majority of our TM players had the mind set of our wrestlers

So much respect, he could barely even stand and still wanted to continue the fight because of his immense gheyrat, nothing else. Heyf shod.

I really was shocked with what happened with him. I thought Kianoush Rostami was going to get gold and Moradi maybe silver. But he failed at the first hurdle. The commentators on the BBC where saying that it was probably a mental thing, but I'm not sure.
