so to analyze arsalan's playing time chances this year at OREGON....what do u guys think?

i dont know any of these guys but here is the roster:

    http://www.goducks.com/SportSelect.d...235&SPSID=4295

They have 4 forwards....one is bit smaller at 6-5 while arsalan is 6-8 the other 3 seem pretty good too looking at their stats

mainly this guy would be his biggest competition: http://www.goducks.com/ViewArticle.d...&Q_SEASON=2012

make it or break it for him this season, that was a risky move by him imo, had he stayed in RICE he would have been player of the year in that division. but now he has 1 season to show his talent to the nba scouts. good luck to him though

Yea but i dont think it would've mattered if he did get player of the year...no nba scout would've really looked at him. The way i see it is if he was able to play so good against NBA starts in world championship, he can take care of some puny college kids. There are 2 forward positions and they only have 5 with him so im pretty sure he'll get some playing time.

^^true, i do not know kazemi in person, what i know about him is by the interviews and following him on his facebook page. i could be totally wrong, but my impression from him is that he is a very immature, almost a bache nane type guy who has talent but lets his egos get to him, type of mentality that it is either my way or the highway. again I COULD BE TOTALLY wrong but that is the impression i get from him. only time will tell.

you are totally wrong. He had some VALID reasons that I am not going to get into. Rice coach got what he deserved. He gambled and it didn't pay off. Arsalan is a good kid. As for the ego, of course he haa some. We all would if we were in his shoes. But it is not to a point that would change him. Out of all the younger cousins and friends that I had he was the FIRST one to text me an eid mobaraki text. It was detailed and personalized. All of that while he was out of town for the CIT tournament and I am just a friend who didn't even know him personally a year ago this time. I am telling you he is a good kid

^^i did not say he was a bad kid, i am sure he is a good kid. what i said is only my personal view of him from what i have seen from him on interviews, news, facebook etc..... i know it is not right to pass judgment about someone base on few interviews or news pieces but i tend to have a keen eye on peoples personalities and i tend to pickup things that others usually miss, base on my profession and personal experience.

What I was saying is that he is not looso nonor va az khod razi. Again I don't know how much I am at liberty to talk aboutbhere, but he would have been all owls if the team and coaching staff and overall the athletic department was not so dysfunctional..

When I was talking to him about Kentucky and the promises given by John calipari he said they have all these superstars, I just go in there and do the scrappy work and rebounding and stuff. He is smart and knows exactly what his capabilities are and definitely is not overconfident

He's waiting for his hardship waiver to be approved so he still can't play with the team.
NCAA has to approve the waiver for him to be eligible to play this year, otherwise he will be redshirted this year and has to wait for a chance to play with the team next year.

Though from what i've heard he has a pretty good chance to receive the hardship waiver, anyway the news will be out for sure before mid-November.

EH i thought that was already done and thats why he made the move. That would be horrible if he doesnt get approved, sitting out one year will mess up his game

Got some good but unofficial news that ArsalanKazemi will be eligible to play season via twitter...

Here's the link that says so...

                        http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=128&f=2404

His other teammate from Rice that transferred to USC has been granted the hardship waiver on Thursday and they had the same reason applying for the waiver, so it is pretty much true.
