great game by hamed, i cant say im too surprised though. i always saw the potential in him but stupid lionell hollins never wanted to give him a real chance, and it just doesn't make any sense.
consider this:
- they were paying him roughly 1.5 mil a year, which is a lot for someone who is just a roster filler so that was dumb on their part, atleast make use out of ur money.
- spent 4 years developing him and adapting him to the NBA game, and IMO did a great job of that. he bulked up A LOT since he arrived.
- showed signs of being able to become a good player coming off the bench, and had a golden opportunity after the trade that sent speights to cleavland....and STILL they didn't give him a chance.
all i know is now that hamed is proving himself after being given an opprtunity, hollins and the grizz have got to be feeling stupid. hasn't played in months and comes into a new team and has back to back very solid performances to say the least. something the commentators praise is is toughness, defensive presence, and hussle. thats all something that makes me feel confident that hamed has a decent amount of years left in the NBA and i have every reason to believe it is only going to get better from here on out.
