I’m ready to help Memphis Grizzlies win: Haddadi
Memphis Grizzlies center Hamed Haddadi says he has worked hard over the summer to get in shape.
"I was (in the U.S.) for the whole summer and decided to get surgery on my right hand," Haddadi said. "I knew I had to get in shape for training camp. So I worked hard with the coaches and with Zach (Randolph)."
Haddadi has played in just eight games this season, but three of those appearances have come in the last four games, according to Commercial Appeal.
Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins said there might be more room for Haddadi in the rotation given the team's injury circumstances. Darrell Arthur has to play small forward in place of injured Quincy Pondexter, so the domino effect leaves the team thin up front among the reserves.
"Any time they call your name, you have to be ready to help the team win," Haddadi added.
Haddadi credits his work in practice with Randolph and Gasol for the improvement.
"They're always pushing me to work and teaching me stuff to get better," Haddadi said. "I appreciate having teammates that push me to work harder and get better."
The Grizzlies signed Haddadi to a two-year contract before this season, his fifth with the team.
A native of Ahvaz, Iran, Haddadi is the first Iranian to play in the NBA.

Haddadi played about 3 garbage time minutes as my Los Angeles Clippers beat up the Grizzles yesterday.
He didn't do much, but from the last time I saw him play, he has gotten a lot better at setting screens."I'm here to clean the carpets. Most of the world is carpeted. And, one day, we will do the cleaning."

Ya its weird how they did last 3 games
Atleast this game his 3 min were at the beginning of 4th which is important and he did his job got a reb put it back in and pulled another foul for 2 free throws. Then gasol got subbed in to finish the game. He basically does his job. If he wants playing time he needs to find another team.

before that we enjoyed a conference semifinal exit that came down to one play against the Phoenix Suns in game 7
before that.... I don't want to talk about it... until 96-97, we made the playoffs
I've been a fan since 96. I watched guys like Keith Closs and Marko Jaric wear a Clipper jersey.
And to be honest, I haven't seen any band-wagoning Clipper fans anywhere. Everyone keeps talking about these band-wagoners but I haven't seen them."I'm here to clean the carpets. Most of the world is carpeted. And, one day, we will do the cleaning."
