With the upcoming NBA season around the corner it was time to release this video. Initially, I wanted to release it in the end of August, but some minor errors with the syncing of the video kept dragging out the release. Also my university studies started again in September, so I wasn't able to work on it every day.
All in all, making this video was not easy, it was actually quite demanding. Firstly, all the games had to be downloaded and it had to be followed by me going through the videos to find the highlights of Hamed (of course I used NBA's box score and play-by-play to save some time). You might think HH didn't play much last season, but it was quite a lot to watch (just imagine how it would be if he got frequent playing time).
The videos where all in MKV-format and to be able to edit it in Vegas they had to be converted to mp4 to avoid losing any quality. Vegas kept being annoying (as it lags quite a lot when using big HD files) so it took a while to organize and edit the clips needed for this project. For some reason, the last step of rendering the project took lot of time as well and I had to repeat this procedure a couple of times to make the video fully synced. Vegas kept screwing me up by changing the video clips every time I opened the project. It has been a hell to use this program, but it is also the best video editing tool out there so I decided to stick to it. But it has definitely been a pain in the ass...
Anyway, enough with the whining. To the video itself; I’ve put together clips of Hamed's best plays of last season, including all his field goals (except for one) and all his blocks. There were lots of clips of rebounds (some of them has been included), assists and him shooting freethrows but I decided to skip those because the video would then be very long. It is also available in 720p and 1080p:
Also, some of you might notice the watermark (of my initials) in the video; usually I don't mind people downloading videos I put up on YouTube, but last time after I uploaded the video of HH's highlights against the Lakers, some days later the same video started to pop up (either slightly edited or an exact copy) on other channels and they didn't give me any credit for it. Yeah, I know I do the same to NBA (at least I do give them credit in some way), but what’s frustrating is the time I put in to making these videos. Even Footballitarin did this; they uploaded the video on their site and put their own watermark on it as if they had made the video themselves. As it took me like 10 times more making this video I decided to put a watermark on it, so forgive me if it's disturbing.
