Official: Llorente to join Juventus in July

The Spain international will move to the Turin giants in the summer on a four-year deal once his contract with Athletic Bilbao expires

    Jan 24, 2013

Juventus have confirmed the signing of Fernando Llorente on a four-year deal in the summer on a free transfer from Athletic Bilbao.
    Don't Miss

The Spain international has been linked with a move to Turin since the summer after announcing that he was not going to extend his contract at San Mames.

the Basques had turned down an offer from the Serie A champions over a January move to Italy, meaning that the Bianconeri have had to wait until the summer to get their man.

"The future of Fernando Llorente is in black and white," a statement on the club's official website read.

"The Spain international, who will be out of contract with Athletic Bilbao, has signed an agreement that will bind him to Juventus from July 1.

"The contract lasts for four years, expiring on June 30, 2017."

Juventus have long been looking for a striker to bolster their attack, with the likes of Alessandro Matri, Sebastian Giovinco, Fabio Quagliarella and Mirko Vucinic failing to impress on a consistent basis.

Llorente made his debut for Athletic in 2004, and has since made over 350 appearances for the club. He was part of the side that reached the Copa del Rey and Europa League finals last season.

    Zaha set to join United

    24 January 2013

Wilfried Zaha is reportedly set to become a Manchester United player after the club agreed a fee with Crystal Palace.
The 20-year-old forward and his representatives are understood to be negotiating a five-and-a-half-year contract with the English Premier League giants

His registration will be transferred in the coming days, although he is expected to be loaned back to the Championship club for the rest of the season.

Zaha is also due to undertake a medical in the next 48 hours as United wrap up the deal for an initial fee of 15 million pounds, rising to 17 million with performance-related add-ons.

In other transfer news on Thursday, Newcastle have signed their third Frenchman of the transfer window with the arrival of 20-year-old left back Massadio Haidara from Nancy.

Haidara joins the club on a five-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee, joining Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and Yoan Gouffran as new arrivals at the club, which saw their French contingent rise to 10 with Haidara's signing.

Serie A champions Juventus announced the capture of Spain international striker Fernando Llorente on a free from Athletic Bilbao, with the player to arrive in Turin at the end of the season.

Argentine playmaker Mauro Formica swapped Championship side Blackburn Rovers for Serie A strugglers Palermo, while Newcastle are set to sign Moussa Sissoko from Toulouse.

Meanwhile, Manchester United striker Frederico Macheda will join Bundesliga club Stuttgart on loan until the end of the season.

llorente for juve is MEH....he's not that great in my book and problem is they dont wanna spend real money on a top striker...so i guess this is the best we could. Which is a shame......compared to other top teams who are competing they are buying top names....like man U, chelsea, etc....yet we kick chelsea's ass with those same lower level forwards. I dont understand when this management is gonna step it up and buy some real players so we can take it to the next level. We already have a good defense and mid...its just our attack that needs some upgrades.

^ All I see right now is our former young talent dominating in that team and possibly you don't need a striker if you have him, Paul Pogba has become a sensation in that team and surely earned his spot. Biggest mistake from Fergie to let him go but it was also the cu*nt Patrick Viera who was yapping in his ear about moving from Man United. At the end of the day its all good we produce talents after talents . Just look at Tom Cleverly

Juventus still need time. Juve has got many depts because of old transfers. example. Isla and Asamoah are not 100% players of Juventus and they they will also cost something like 15-20Mio€. So U have to wait one or two years. Juve will be at the top soon!

          Forza Juve!

            Juventus agree terms with Anelka

            Jan 25, 2013
Juventus have reached a agreement to sign Shanghai Shenhua striker Nicolas Anelka until the end of the season.
The Old Lady's pursuit of a forward has been well-documented of late, and the Italian champions confirmed that Fernando Llorente would join the club at the end of the season on Thursday.
the Serie A champions have not given up their pursuit of a loan deal for Olympique Lyonnais attacker Lisandro Lopez, while they have been continually linked with Didier Drogba after failing in their efforts to sign Llorente this month.
Despite the problems with negotiating a deal for Drogba, it seems that an agreement for Shanghai Shenhua team-mate Anelka has been far more straightforward, and the BianconeriReal deal? Madrid boss Mourinho eyes QPR's Julio Cesar to replace crocked Casillas

Pogba is great but he'll still be benched for a while. Our midfield is MVP - Marchisio-Vidal-Pirlo
and we do produce equivalents of pogba; marchisio, marrone are youth products....but pogba came cuz he wanted a better opportunity and viera helped out too. I think he was smart in that sense...he knows staying at places like man u, or city, chelsea, madrid they like to buy new players each season if they dont need them. So he didnt wanna get wasted there.

i personally want something in the middle; i dont want juve to splurge unnecessarily like those teams and i dont want them to be cheap asses either. I know we can afford those high priced players but our management rather split the money for 2-3 players rather than just 1 which is ok for depth but true quality lacks when u split the $

Diego Lopez, new Real Madrid player

The Galician goalkeeper returns to the Whites, from whose academy he emerged and with whom he made his La Liga debut

                    Realmadrid.com
Diego Lopez (Paradela, Lugo, 03/11/1981) will play for Real Madrid until the end of the 2016-17 season. Raised through the ranks of the club's youth academy the keeper makes his return from Sevilla where he arrived this summer following five seasons at Villarreal. The Galician strengthens the Real Madrid squad in a position in which they were left crippled due to Iker Casillas’ injury.
Diego Lopez Rodriguez joined the Real Madrid academy in the 2000-01 season. He came from Lugo and along with his youth (18 years) and height (1.96m) he brought remarkable reflexes. The Galician played that season with Real Madrid C, in the 01-02 season he went on loan to Alcorcon and in the following year he returned to the Whites’ C team. In the 2003-04 season he took the step up and moved to Castilla. Following a year of adapting, Diego Lopez became the undisputed goalkeeper for the Real Madrid reserve team, with whom he would win promotion to the Second Division in 04-05. In the summer of 2005 he was included in the first team, making his La Liga debut on 30th April 2006 (Osasuna 0-1 Real Madrid).

In 2007 he signed for Villarreal, where he stayed for five seasons. The great job that he did at the club in Castellon led to his international debut with Spain, which came in August 2009 in a friendly against Macedonia. Last summer he transferred to Sevilla and now, almost six years after his departure from the club, with the maturity that comes with age, his 181 matches and more than 16,000 minutes in the first division, Diego Lopez returns to Real Madrid, with whom he will play until the end of the 2016-17 season.
