yeah i know, mock drafts arent anything official or not supposed to mean much, but they're usually on point about who will be in the mix, and the fact that i haven't seen him in any concerns me. had he been in a few obviously i wouldnt have cared, but i am yet to see him in one.

anybody find any with him? i've seen 8-9 and no sign or arsalan in them.
Well who are the ones that are drafted?
These things are always about hype and what school ur from. Oregon wasnt rated highly and unless someone is exceptional from Oregon. They wont be on mock drafts.

If anyone from any of the schools (beside louiseville) that Oregon played this year have anyone on those lists the. I call BS. Arsalan has been one of the best against all the people they played. Those kids sucked compared to AK even those ucla kids they hype about werent anything.

thats not really true bro, mock drafts contain players from all over the nation, even players from abroad as well.

i fully agree that arsalan is better than a lot of these players, especially the ones im familiar with that im seeing a lot of in the early and mid second round.

but like i said, mock drafts are never terribly off to not mention anyone who has a good chance of getting drafted. id say about 90% of the time, theyre somewhat accurate as far as what players are going to be involved. and the fact that arsalans name hasn't been mentioned not just worries me but surprises me more than anything. he played so damn well for oregon.

i dont really agree that oregon isnt a highly rated team. they finished the year 24th in the nation and won the pac 12.....i dont see how they wouldnt be considered a good team

^ i say they're not highly rated cuz they gave them the 12th seed in the tournament. so there was something they didnt like about Oregon. In general pac-12 doest get that much love other than for ucla, arizona and them. anyway im sure Arsalan will find his way to the nba, either the draft or networking and summer camps.

I think Arsalan will not be drafted, but has a chance to be a non restricted free agent. This is a crazy prediction but I think the Kings or Trail Blazers will have interest.

                  About the tournament:

"Each year for 60 years the P.I.T has invited 64 of the best college basketball players (seniors) from across the nation to participate in a four-day, twelve game tournament in front of representatives from every NBA team. The tournament drew the attention of NBA Scouts and General Managers in the mid-70’s when players like Dave Cowens, John Lucas, Walt Szczerbiak and Bobby Cremins came to Portsmouth to play. Soon the word spread and approximately 200 Scouts, General Managers and Representatives of all 30 NBA teams began to come to see players like John Stockton, Dennis Rodman, Tim Hardaway, Scottie Pippen and others. Today scouts from numerous international leagues have joined in on the annual April pilgrimage to Portsmouth. Over the years the P.I.T. has been a showcase for five of the 50 greatest players in NBA History (Rick Barry, Earl ‘The Pearl” Monroe, Dave Cowens, John Stockton, Scottie Pippen) and for many others who have gone on to NBA stardom. There you go !!!

how he plays in this tournament will solidify him getting drafted. Just being in top 64 seniors is a great achievement. lets say 1/3 of them are FORWARDS..that means hes pretty much top 20 in his position! how can a guy like this not get drafted?

                    ^the tournament is just seniors
there are a lot of non seniors that also enter the draft

But even then odds are really good for him to get drafted

i agree, i have a feeling he isn't going to get drafted. i don't see enough analysts talking about him in the draft...its not going to matter though because im sure he'll secure a summer league spot on a team and manage to put on a good performance.

but how many players do they talk about? usually like the top 10-20 they dont really get into a player that will end up 40th pick or something

you're right, but when a player enters the draft and have a good chance of being drafted at any point, there are usually news confirmations of interests of a team or a team inviting a player to work out at their facility.

also the point i brought up about mock drafts is somewhat valid....if he had been mentioned in even some of them i wouldn't have questioned him being selected in the draft.

the sad truth is there isn't enough hype around him.....he isnt getting the full credit he deserves. he is much better than a lot of these people that are projected to go late in the first round or early in the second. so who knows i may be wrong, there is plenty of time for teams to contact him anyways, and most team's scouts talk to players after their season is over so that argument on my part isn't even totally valid. but like i said, his absence in every mock draft that has come out so far does lead me to question whether or not he will be picked up.

Seriously?!! Mock drafts?!! Is that what people really think is important for a player to be drafted?? I can assure you 1 thing , no scout will be looking the so called "Mock drafts" when it comes to selecting those 60 players.
Mock Drafts are utterly inaccurate in naming the players to be drafted, specially still this time of the year. Let alone the second round which is really really hard to guess. A small example is Michigan's freshman Mitch Mcgary. The kid wasn't even in a single mock draft till like 2 weeks ago. Now they're stocking him as high as top 15!! That's how things change on mock drafts based on a couple of performances.
The important thing really starts in May, when workout and practices begin for those who have declared. Deadline for declaring is 28th April.

In an interview with ISNA, Arsalan said that after 2 days of rest which he had after the sweet 16 game, he has started training hard. Lifting some weights and shooting the ball is what he has been doing the most. He also said that a few teams have contacted him to play with them in the summer league. So if he is drafted he will take part with his own team, otherwise he'll pick one of them to play with during the summer league.

Predicting his Draft value is really hard now, cuz it really depends on how good he works out in these 2 months. If he can show some range in his game i won't be surprised to see him being a number 30 for the Miami Heat. If not he will go down a lot, probably as close as possible to the end. Number 60 won't surprise me cuz i know the heat are after him.
With his work ethic one thing is for sure, AK will be drafted no matter what.
