I think some people here watched only oregon games and not other conferences. Even in pac 12, arsalan was not even named to the all pac 12 team (not even on the third team!!!!) i like the guy and hope he does make it, but all signs are showing that the only chance he has is impressing a team to sign him as a free agent.

Mock Drafts are utterly inaccurate in naming the players to be drafted, specially still this time of the year. Let alone the second round which is really really hard to guess. A small example is Michigan's freshman Mitch Mcgary. The kid wasn't even in a single mock draft till like 2 weeks ago. Now they're stocking him as high as top 15!! That's how things change on mock drafts based on a couple of performances.
The important thing really starts in May, when workout and practices begin for those who have declared. Deadline for declaring is 28th April.

In an interview with ISNA, Arsalan said that after 2 days of rest which he had after the sweet 16 game, he has started training hard. Lifting some weights and shooting the ball is what he has been doing the most. He also said that a few teams have contacted him to play with them in the summer league. So if he is drafted he will take part with his own team, otherwise he'll pick one of them to play with during the summer league.

Predicting his Draft value is really hard now, cuz it really depends on how good he works out in these 2 months. If he can show some range in his game i won't be surprised to see him being a number 30 for the Miami Heat. If not he will go down a lot, probably as close as possible to the end. Number 60 won't surprise me cuz i know the heat are after him.
With his work ethic one thing is for sure, AK will be drafted no matter what.
Never once did anyone say mock drafts were used by scouts, that's just ridiculous

I never said its determined by mock drafts, but rather doesn't look too assuring. Not that arsalan has no chance due to not being in any mock drafts so please don't exhagerate.

And furthermore I also said there is plenty of time for scouts to contact him since the NBA season isn't over yet, I was only talking about the current situation. I'm sure as time goes on he'll be contacted by some scouts

Performance in March madness has some influence. He was Oregon's best player in the tournament.

first off he was on the all defensive team and he was an honorable mention for the pac-12 as well. Out of the 3 teams, only 2 per team are forwards...so that leaves 6 which only 3 are power forwards....so what that means basically is he just wasnt in the top 3 power forwards of pac-12 which again i think its BS cuz i did watch pretty much all oregon games and i watched other conferences too. And im sorry Arsalan is ALOT better player than these other pac-12 players...and they won the tournament.

The impact Oregon had in pac-12 wining the championship AND beating 2 very TOUGH teams in NCAA tournament...ok state and saint louis were no pushovers and were seated way higher. Then faced the louisevill that beat the shit outta duke worst than oregon. Arsalan def. impressed and things changed. When a legend like Rick Pitino says he's a great player and bill walton and every other announcers saying alot about him....he cant just go un noticed. Problem is he's not a scorer (although he averages a double double) he doesnt get the attention he deserves. But def. what he did reaching to sweet 16 and putting up a great fight agains THE BEST team louiseville helped his stock alot.

i mean ffs...that block he had on the 6'11'' dieng of louiseville was just outta this world!

He's very intelligent and has a great sense of awareness on the court. Coaches will love him. I can't stress that enough. He may not be the flashiest (even though he shows it at times and definitely has the ability), but you know you can get lots of solid minutes from him and that he can change game momentum.

^ exactly, coaches love hussle and effort more than anything. im so confident every team arsalan works out with will be impressed, not that they shouldn't be already after having played so well this season.

Arsalan will play in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament. The tournament is for the top 64 seniors in the nation. They will be divided evenly into 8 teams and will have games against each other. All 30 NBA teams will be present and even some GM's will also be there, Arsalan is on the Portsmouth Sports Club team and his first game is on Thursday. https://www.portsmouthinvitational.com/

so LOUISEVILLE wins it all last night!

more reasons why Arsalan should get looked at.....i believe in all their opponents Arsalan was the best forward performance against them. With a double double of 11 pts, 12 rebs, blocks and steals....

                      he's still #1 in rebs http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/stats

Kazemi has withdrawn from the PIT. This isn't a big deal and is quite usual, as you can only 4 top prospects are attending. Probably due to distance (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&...ed=0CAgQ_AUoAg).

I would think its actually good news!

it COULD mean that he has some interest from teams and doesnt want to damage his impressive performance by playing with buncha players and coaches he doesnt know and is not familiar to their style

after the final four game last night, NCAA tournament is finished and AK is the leader in rebounds with 15 reb/game. he has 45 in 3 games. the player from michagon has 65 rebounds but he played 7 games!!! and averaged about 10 rebound per game

imagine if AK has played 7 game, how many rebounds he would have stacked up!!!

^its actually the other way, if he played 7 games his average would definitely be lower

^^true, but i was just saying he would have got more than 65 rebounds in TOTAL.

he played 3 games and had 45 rebounds!!
