Official Arsalan Kazemi Rips Pac-12 a New One Thread
its so true and fantastic that an NBA legend is saying this....BUT at the same time, what he said in the end is a dose of reallity. Arsalan NEEDS to be more assertive, especially offensively. He cant just roll under the radar and occasionally do some explosive dunks. To be considered for NBA, he needs to do that. Hopefully sooner than later
i have a feeling that AK does not have confidence in his low range shooting abilities and thus always tries to dish out the ball to someone else. maybe he will get away with it in college, but in nba you can't just do layups and dunks, especially if you are only 6' 7. you need to be able to shoot that ball once in a while from outside of the paint.
how hard is it to work on your handling and shooting ? I am not trying to bash him or bring him down but if I were a professional soccer player and I knew my right foot is not as good I would have worked on it until it becomes one of my strengths. If there's any time to work on his shooting and handling it would be right now because once he gets to the NBA they would except him to know these things as a basic. Correct me if I'm wrong !

here's the thing, he doesnt necessarily have to be shooting....he just needs to be more ASSERTIVE offensively....which means dont just pass the ball as soon as u get it, dribble it a little then pass or drive in and dish it out
he actually has very good handles....he has done it many times too when he drives to the basket....he should dribble a little to create room and if he doesnt wanna shoot, just pass it to someone who is open. He would be great to attract a double team as he's driving in and then dish it out to someone behind the arc or someone else under the basket. This is how he can increase his assists per game too.
