Oregon is playing like the way they played before the Artis injury... Extremely hard defense not letting Utah get good looks. No wonder Utah only has 15 points at halftime. AK hasn't played much in this game. Probably coach is thinking about saving some fresh legs for tomorrow night championship game against UCLA.

BTW Jordan Adams, arguably UCLA's second best player, has broken his foot and done for the season. Huge blow to UCLA's chances of making a run in the NCAA tourney.

LAS VEGAS (AP) - As Arsalan Kazemi sat on the bench in the second half after struggling, he waited for a second chance, plotting how he'd play better if it came.

When the chance did come, his plan played out perfectly.

Shaking off a shaky first half, Kazemi scored 11 of his 14 points in overtime, helping Oregon outlast Washington 80-77 on Thursday night in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 tournament.

``While I was sitting on the bench in the second half, I was just hoping (Oregon coach Dana Altman) would give me a second chance,'' Kazemi said. ``I knew if he put me back in the game, I wasn't going to slip. I just played as hard as I could. I didn't look at the score whether we were down or up, I just played hard.''

The tournament's third seed, Oregon (24-8) found itself in a fight from the start against the sixth-seeded Huskies. The Ducks stopped Washington from getting off a shot in the closing seconds of regulation and held on in overtime to reach Friday's semifinals against No. 10 seed Utah, which knocked off No. 2 California in overtime earlier Thursday.

it was a great thing his team played well so he didnt have to play. It was a smart choice by the coach to save him for the final tonight. Didnt realize it was gonna be 3 days in a row!


Next Thursday and the weekend is NCAA tournament

Oregon Ducks are the PAC-12 Champions!!! They get an auto-bid to the NCAA Tourney that will start on Tuesday night. The brackets will be known tomorrow at 6 pm ET.
Congratulations to the team and its fans.

Great game by AK, a quiet double-double with 12-12. Also add 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block to his stats in 34 minutes. His defense on Travis Wear was remarkable, kept him checked for most of the game. And also took the duty to guard Shabazz Muhammad when he had it going.
