    The sixers changed their team so they can tank for Andrew Wiggins. Arsalan should get some minutes

          Im sure he will impress in summer camp and will be playing next year. Hes a unique player and has good IQ of the game. The coach will recognize that.
          Youre probably right, but more so because of the sixers roster than his IQ/uniqueness. Too bad the celtics didnt get him, he'd probably be a starter at this point haha

          sixers got a new coach today btw, brett brown former SA assistant

              New Arsalan interview with VOA:

              He answers a lot of questions regarding the draft, summer league and the national team.

                  The Sixers' new GM took some bold moves this draft by trading away jrue holliday. i wish i could find his interview again but in summary he basically thought of arsalan as a high 2nd round pick, and "there was no way" that he would not finish the night without a 2nd round pick. he wants to bring good character to the team and saw that in both players he drafted (maybe jrue holliday was a headache to deal with?).

                    The way this guys talked about arsalan i dont see why they wouldnt give him a contract. They obviously wanted him.

                      it is very obvious from this interview and other interviews that arasalan is a head and shoulder above the rest of the players in the draft as far as character!! most teams do not want to deal with kids that are in trouble and have red flags in their past, like contraband position, weapon position, failure in school, trouble with the law....
                      IRI = FAILED

                        AK's stock would have gone up had he played for a higher profile team in the NCAA. Nonetheless, we all know that AK has great potential to improve as a player overall. His draft pick does not portray his talent at all. The kid brings character, grit, intangibles, and more.

                          i mean they were pac 12 champions, and the pac 12 is a legit league with great players you see a bunch of ucla and arizona players drafted and allen crabbe who was pac 12 player of the season was first in the 2nd round

                            radin, he's kinda right. for AK type of players, a bigger name school would've helped ALOT more. pac 12 is a decent conference but they still dont get respected enough. they ranked oregon at 12 when they were much better. when it comes to draft, especially for first round, all the attention is on the scoring machines...they dont really pay enough attention to utility type players who do the dirty work like arsalan. his stock would've been ALOT higher if he showed some signs of a scoring touch outside the paint. if he only even attempted 2-3 shots per game (outside the paint) and would've converted even half of them, he woulda been noticed more. I believe only weakness scouts saw with him was that...they thought he cant shoot. which is actually not true, he can even shoot 3 pointers. this summer he needs to practice the hell out of his jump shot....and all he really needs is to find one or two sweet spots for himself..he doesnt have to shoot all the time but few times would help him alot in his career.

                              Aziz,

                              Sure, he did got to a respectable conference in the PAC-12 and helped Oregon win the tournament championship. But Oregon is a relatively small team on the PAC-12 compared to the higher profile teams such as Cal, Stanford, Arizona, and UCLA. With that said, PAC-12 still doesn't get the domestic and media attention it deserves compared to the ACC and Big-10.

                              What I meant to say is if he initially entered a higher profile team in the very beginning of his college career, his stock would have risen higher.

                                its kind of retarded that the name of the school becomes such a determining factor for their draft stock. it should be how they perform...which kazemi did the best anyone can in those situations. just the 3 tough games in the tournament should've sky rocketed his draft stock to first round. i saw some STUUUUPID picks by some teams.
