well you cant really say its not a smart move as its becoming a trend to go to the MLS in retirement, and hey its way better and more respectable than going to the UAE or qatar league.
another thing in defense of him, he chose the right team to go to in the MLS. they're one of the few teams with a real fan base and a real stadium/atmosphere. i haven't been there myself, but family friends of mine that live there go to games on a regular basis and praise the team, fans, atmosphere, etc. saying its all above other teams which i do understand.
the league still isn't any good but it is slowly but surely progressing. let the guy collect his big pay check and enjoy his last few years.Team Meli Iran
