Freestyle Wrestling USA vs. Iran Times Square May 2013

Seems like Iran has accepted the invitation for a wrestling competition in Times Square on May 15, 16. Does anyone know if tickets are required or can one just go there and watch. It'll be awesome!

tickets are definitely going to be sold online, i went back in 04 or 05 when madison square garden held a match....i plan on going again.

and just a slight suggestion to your title, change times square to madison square garden since thats the stadium's name.

It's not going to be in Madison Square garden, I know it sounds weird but it will be held in the middle of times square, USA faced Russia the past couple of years, it's an event called beat the streets. Here are some pics and videos, I don't think you will need tickets just show up and watch lol.

Thats pretty dope...right in the middle of times square...great way to get exposure for the game

by the way, have any of the MMA and UFC fighters showed support to olympic wrestling movement?? i would think they should jump in just to preserve the sport. I mean ive seen a few twitter messages from some but they need to get more involved. US sports have too much politics and favoritism its annoying.

Joe Rogan keeps talking about it on his podcasts shows . He spoke about the issue with Dana White as well but briefly when he brought him on his show as an invite.
It would be great to see if Iranians in NY will go and show support with flags. I would be so down to go but its a long drive from Montreal to NY.

rogan is cool but some of his guest can be boring and he repeats his shit alot too.....last night went to his comedy show...the guys before him were cool but he came on stage SO DRUNK! he could barely hold it together....long story short he sucked and a couple of times he repeated a joke from 10 min before....we ended up walking out LOL

Are you sure? Don't they expect a huge turnout?
