The league only gave him 1 match ban.....which is pretty much NOTHING cuz you already miss a game with a red card.

hefty fine and couple of game suspension does the job.

case in point, in NFL if something with the same nature happens the NFL will probably put a hefty $50-$80K fine on the player!! next time he will not do that again even if his life is dependent on it.

can't remember the player or team but few years ago NFL put a $125K fine on a player for a bad tackle!!

it goes to show that the league needs to protect the players.
